I liked the West End but DFW simply doesn't compare to the great northeastern cities in terms if tourism.

My hate for Denton is because of UNT. We used to play them yearly when I was at SMS. We just never found fun stuff to do. Granted that was 20-15 years ago.
I like Arlington and Frisco. I've never spent tons of time in Round Rock

I love Dallas. Plus I grew up in DC, traffic ain't nothing here.
The only real thing that I have a problem with, as someone coming from SC, is the lack of nature in Dallas.
Im within daytrip distance of both the mountains and the beach in SC. It'd be hard to give that up.

That's true, there isn't much to go hiking or anything like that here.

The river on campus is what makes San Marcos prime viewing during the Spring semester

The area around Turtle Creek is fantastic
Lots of restaurants and tree lined streets

Down by the Mavs Arena? It seemed like the nicest place there.
Also Beltway traffic aint no joke… took me an hour just to get to Maryland…

The AAC isn't in the West End, that's Victory Park.
That area never blew up the way they thought it would b/c rent for the restaurants and shops is stupid high. They've started building a frickton of apartments down there though (taking up ALL the damn parking) so here in a few years that area should be able to keep all the empty locations full.

The thing about downtown Dallas is there isn't a very good downtown restaurant and bar district that is easily walk able. Seems kind of scattered
