I'll explain it for the retards:

Last year only 1 top 25 team had less than 2 losses.... Which means the other teams in the top 10 most likely lost to other top 10 teams. Notre Dame also lost to (2) top 10 teams this year. If they shouldn't be ranked then last years standings should have been

Are you comparing the rankings after 12-13 games to the rankings after 3?

The argument is that Notre Dame is 0-2 RIGHT NOW and ranked. As has already been pointed out a 0-2 team has not been ranked in the top 25 in 37 years.

Clemson is 1-2, with a loss to #3 and #18 by a combined 10 points and is unranked.

There are 8 teams in the AAC undefeated or with 1 loss who are not ranked.

There are 9 teams in the ACC undefeated or with 1 loss who are not ranked.

10 in the Big 12 unranked.

9 in the Big 10. 4 in the SEC. More in the MAC, Mountain West, Sun Belt.

You're telling me none of those teams are more deserving of being in the top 25 in week 4 than winless Notre Dame.

That's not a comparison and I'd like to see a stat on how many of those teams were 0-2 vs (2) top 10 ranked teams. GT was unranked when Clemson lost, which is why they are unranked. Your argument is that Clemson lost by more than double the amount of points to a team that is half as good as 1 of the other teams?

You are really going to compare a loss to an unranked GT to a #16 SEC team?

Clemson was also digging out of holes in those games and not simply going h2h or back and forth with top teams.

If you actually thinks that's comparable then its not worth it to argue with something that ridiculous.

You're arguing that Notre Dame must be good because they've only lost to teams that beat Notre Dame.

Clemson led or was tied with LSU for 48 minutes. Yes, they trailed GT by 13 at one point.

It may end up that Clemson is bad and has a bad season. Georgia Tech may or may not be good. At this point in the season, no one really has multiple marquee wins.

Which is kind of the whole point. Notre Dame at 0-2 is only in the top 25 because their name is Notre Dame and they lost to teams named Texas A&M and Miami.

This is not in anyway apples to apples. You’re comparing end of year results. Not a team who had literally 0 wins. If Notre Dame wins out they should and would be firmly back in. But that’s not the case right now
