Rodemaker struggled was 12/25 and 134 yds against UF. 224 total team yard vs 5 win Florida.

They were outgained and fortunate UF was playing a back up freshman QB

Alabama needed a muffed punt and a 4th and 31 to beat Auburn (ETA: who was crushed by New Mexico State). Winning on the road against your biggest rival is tough.

College football needs a more competitive round robin schedule like the nfl so we don’t have to deal with arbitration bullshite every time. Play someone

Florida State could have scored 40 and they were still out. Narrative was set prior to the game.

only Alabama gets the “cRaZy tHiNgS hApPeN iN jOrdAn hAiRe” excuse … other teams must play perfect, execute flawlessly every game because, well, they aren’t Bama so it’s a different standard

their fans and the media say things like “throw the records out the window it’s a rivalry game lolz” but then all of them shite on Florida State for winning a tough game in the swamp with a backup QB starting his first game

just part of the double standard narrative

It was weird game for sure. Auburn should have been blown out as they were outgained substantially, and lost the turn over battle 3 to 0.

Bama looked like the substantially better team just didn't put them away and it almost cost them.

It happens often with this Bama team. They looked substantially better than UGA, but only won by 3.

The scoreboard doesn't always tell the story.

UF was playing a Freshman back up and had better offensive production than FSU. FSU didn't appear any better the UF honestly.

They had 10 more mins of possession were way better on 3rd down than FSU 7/16.

Rodemaker was no better than the 3rd string guy.

The offense was averaging 220 total yards per game since Travis went down. That's just not good enough especially with the light schedule.

Dude had 4 days to practice as the 1. Give him and a good coach staff a month. That defense is legit. They’ve got better WRs than Michigan. Probably 3 better than any of Michigan’s. Got a better RB too. Why not give them the chance to win playing ball control with a smothering defense? I’m sure their QB can hand the ball off every play if the 2nd half just as well as McCarthy.

They played a rivalry game in Gainseville and a conference championship game against a ranked opponent. That’s not exactly a light schedule

And they persevered. Team before self. Their QB goes down and the rest of the team steps up. Their defense against Louisville was incredible. FSU should be lauded, not punished.

The committee rewarded the undeserving rich kids(Bama) over the hard-working scrappy guys (FSU) and though everyone would be cool with it

Because there were other teams that had their starting QBs and had already proven they can beat elite teams.

Everyone in the playoffs has beaten a playoff caliber or NY6 bowl team.

Texas beat Bama
Washington Beat Oregon twice
Michigan beat PSU &OSU
Bama beat Ole Miss &UGA

FSU didn't even play that caliber of team all year

The best team the played was LSU which was the Bama's 4th best opponent.

They finished 5th in the SEC and had a historically bad defense. Their second best opponent lost to a 3-5 Kentucky team.

That's just not good enough.

Louisville lost a 3-5 Kentucky team the week before. Pretending they were a good team is preposterous. They also lost to Pitt who went 3-9 by 17 points.

Bama required a miracle to beat an Auburn team that is so historically bad they had lost to New Mexico St.

That should have not only disqualified Bama this year, it should have disqualified them for the next year as well.

Alabama just needed two miracles to survive a rivalry game against auburn, a team that just got its arse beat by New Mexico State. One of the worst teams in FBS. Rivalry games are weird. Louisville’s lose to a respectable UK is probably a better showing than a miracle win over Auburn to be honest

Going into a conference championship ranked 14th in the country means a team is a good team. Sorry you don’t understand that. Louisville definitely wasn’t a great team, but they are a good team.

And FSU beat them by two scores with their third string true freshman qb

Only Bama gets the benefit of the eye test and “it was a tough rivalry game”.

No other team is allowed to use that excuse.

FSU did exactly what it needed to do - win the ballgame. Not a swinging dick on here, if we're being honest here, imagined an undefeated P5 team would be leapfrogged by both a seven and eight ranked team regardless if both won the conference championship game. One of the teams, maybe, but not two of them.

Good teams don't lose to 3-9 teams by 17 points.

Alabama just beat the two time defending champs on a 29 game win streak in their home state.

Louisville lost to two bad teams and beat zero good teams all year. Nothing suggest they were a good team. Their best win was Duke.

Your arguments are juvenile.

FSU didn't have good enough wins and neither back up could lead a competent offense.

ACC #2 losing at home to SEC #9 is more respectable?

They have wins over NC State (#18) and Notre Dame (#16)

What exactly qualifies as a good team in your mind?

No

He could've started Tom Brady.

See 2011 Oklahoma State that did everything to blow out Oklahoma on the final weekend to exclude the Bama Corporate narrative and it did nothing. Announcers openly mocked and dismissed Okie during the telecast. This is the fraudulent world we live in.
