maybe your accent contributed a bit of regional bias in the selection process ??

Looks like a soccer stadium. It’s a cool look and makes everything seem cozier. Great verticality of it too.
Buffalo and Northwestern used the same plans based off of Tottenham

Both stadiums have an extreme vertical rise to where even the highest seats are very close to the field

Buffalo

Northwestern

Tottenham

One of the nice things about these stadium designs is the open courses, where you can still see the field while in line. Baylor's McLane Stadium is built similarly with its concourses and is a great benefit to get out of the sun for a bit, especially with little ones. Only downside is it makes the stadium look a little more empty because people are hanging out in the concourses.

Which makes it crazy they couldn’t sell out a first game against a team like Penn State.

That seems weird to me. PSU has the largest alumni of any university in America. The away fans should have filled that up. I know when UM or OSU played at the old stadium, it’s basically a home game at a different stadium.

In the past 2 years, neither of those games @NW were played at the makeshift stadium. They were played at Wrigley.

I'm still shocked that Northwestern beat PSU by 3 TDs!

Something is seriously amiss with Penn State football. In previous years their fans would have been chomping at the bit to buy tickets for this game. It seems like they just don't care anymore, given their subpar play on the field and the resulting eruptive apathy.
