Lipscomb and Texas.

Wichita State has a young team that has improved throughout the last couple of months, but Lipscomb is more consistent offensively and played a tougher schedule. The wild card for Wichita State is Markis McDuffie, a senior who is returning to play close to home (from New Jersey). I still don't think they have enough to pull it off, sadly.

Texas is more talented than TCU and already lost to them twice this year. It's tough to beat a team three times, and I don't see it happening, though Jamie Dixon is a terrific coach.

I agree. They've looked much better, mostly since they moved Haynes-Jones off ball for a portion of the game and let Torres take control of the offense. They've grown quite a bit over the last two months, but Lipscomb is a little more seasoned as well.

Don't get me wrong, I would be very happy for WSU if they win, but I think tonight will be a tough one.

They've definitely increased after these last couple of months. Losing McDuffie will hurt, but should have a solid freshman Tyson Etienne (#121 recruit) coming in. On top of that, Teddy Allen, who transferred from West Virginia, will be eligible. If you see the jump for most of the younger guys after playing under Marshall for a year, then this team starts to look like an 8/9 seed. I'm expecting a smaller jump for some of the guys than some others are, and think they'll have a tough time replacing McDuffie as the go-to guy. Haynes-Jones had a few moments, but was never really the PG the team needed. He's more of an undersized shooting guard.

I'm hoping that they jump into the top 3 of the conference and challenge for an NCAA spot. If you had asked in early February, I would have said top 6 in the conference with an NIT bid, which is what they ended up with this year.

Ok. Fun fact. Lipscomb is my alma and I am proud that the Bisons are here tonight! I may be the only Lipscomb grad poster on TD. Love it! BISONS!

Best of luck! I want the winner of our game to beat whichever Texas school makes it. I am a WSU alumna, and was actually the mascot from 2010-2014, so I was there during the fun times! If you guys win, I'll be rooting for you. Hopefully we'll see each other in a different tournament next year!
