Shai is having a better year, he leads in all the advanced metrics and is setting records with a bunch of college kids. He’s an all around better player due to his defense as well.

Right….let’s switch the stats. Shai with 30/12/10 or Jokic with 32/5/6. Who wins mvp? You going to say Jokic?

The Nuggets would likely be tanking if it wasn't for him.

Yeah right. When the Thunder run the offense through Jaylin Williams like the Nuggets do with Jokic, he gets a triple double. And he actually wins the game. And he’s the third string center.

You think MVP is decided solely on three stats? Also why do Jokic fans always gloss over defense as if it doesn’t matter?

Defense matters in basketball, no one is doing what Shai does on both ends of the floor. That’s why he’s the heavy favorite.

Unfortunately the few thunder fans who post here seem like dimwitted, insecure losers. Pathetic behavior in this thread.

You’re projecting. You started a whole thread for a double OT game.

This is a lie.

Jokic literally leads league in PER and BPM… Jokic is about to break his own PER record (which was the best in league history) for that matter…

You do realize Jokic gets more steals per game than SGA right? You act like he sucks yet your player doesn’t have as many a game as Jokic

Also, rebounding and assists also kinda matter for being an all around player…

Steals are about the same, Shai gets more blocks though. Which is crazy because he’s so much shorter than Jokic.

When SGA is on the court, OKC is MUCH better than DEN with Jokic on the court. Sure, OKC is a lot better than DEN with both guys off the court, but should we really make MVP the “who has worse teammates” award? I don’t think so.

For MVP discussion, “on” should carry much more weight than “on/off”.

SGA is gonna win comfortably.

Also, depending on how you define "this level", he's in year 7 in a row this year. Even if you require 25+ ppg, it's year 5 in a row

This is his 5th season playing at an all NBA level. All the people ahead of him in the GOAT conversation either did it for 12+ years or have 4+ championships.

I started a thread to discuss another historic, record seeing night from a guy who is turning in an all time season. There hasn't been a thread specifically dedicated to his season that I've seen on this board recently.

You and the other guy popped up to shite all over it with terrible, insecure takes.

Yet it took one post for y’all to bring up Shai. More projecting.

Wrong again, first post brought up Shai before we ever got here.

Jokic gets 1.8 steals per game

SGA gets 1.7 steals per game…

Jokic .7 blocks per game

SGA 1.0 blocks per game

But now for my final and favorite defensive stats which is known as DEFENSIVE REBOUNDS!!!!

Jokic 9.9 defensive rebounds per game

SGA gets 4.1 defensive rebounds per game

I think looking at those numbers we know who’s better…

Shocker, a center getting more rebounds than a guard.

And y’all wanna talk about dimwitted takes.

Just let it go. MVP “race” was wrapped up two weeks ago when Shai was beating teams by himself and Jokic was losing to the Wizards.

Pretty dumb take, and I want Jokic to win MVP.
Of course the biggest player in the NBA is going to average more rebounds than a 6'5" skinny PG

Well his second and third option were out and he was getting double teamed when he crossed half court, what would you call it.

The team around Shai gets brought up a lot but they’ve barely all played together. Shai, JDub, Chet, Ihart and Dort have played like 10 games together all year.
