Alberta would go into a civil war and would revert to the 1980s. Would be awesome.

EDM swept us pretty easy this year though so idk if we want that

Caps pulled Holtby.

Dallas owns Caps and Holtby. 6-0-1 in Verizon and 3-0 vs Holtby.

Looking at the box score, yall are getting goals from unexpected contributors

I don't think so.

Shore has been an excellent contributor this season, as has Radek Faksa.

Then you have power line of Seguin, Benn, and Spezza all getting in on the Spezza goal.

You would probably play the Sharks then. What time zone you in?

all I can discern from this game is that Kari doesn't try against the other teams

Caps pulled the goalie early there.

Easily had momentum and were getting good chances 5-5.

Lehtonen had himself a night, even giving up 2 goals.

Maybe the Stars should keep brining the dad's along.

Central.

Damn. I'd prefer EDM over SJ hah. frick the shark tank.

Damn we went from hoping for the last WC to possibly hosting the battle of Alberta. 16 games left though and it ain't an easy schedule.

What a random fricking result for yall. Nice game. Chasing holtby out at the Verizon center is big

He didn't get much help though.

Shore getting pushed into the crease on the first goal isn't really on him.

The second Faksa just got him 1 on 1, not too much he could do.

Spezza goal was definitely on him.

It's probably a good thing for the Caps to lose. Pressures off of that long streak and they probably got a little reality check that'll help them in the long run.

Unless Blackhawks or Wild suddenly fall apart, you are likely facing Oilers or Sharks. And that means a lot of late starts in our time zone. Blues are 6-7 points behind you, and I don't see them catching you.

Hard to be upset by that loss. You win 15 in a row at home, you're gonna lose one eventually. When it happens, you want it to be because you played well, but just didn't get the bounces. Caps outshot the Stars 44-22 and spent most of the night just hanging out in the Dallas end firing shot after shot. Ovie had NINE shots on goal (though his scoring drought is getting concerning, he had one miss in particular that he usually buries). Heck, Caps should have tied it when Kuzy hit the post after splitting the Stars defense.

Committed some bad turnovers which hung Holtby out to dry, and that shouldn't happen, but all in all, the Caps dominated the game but just didn't get the puck luck (and a video review that didn't go their way). It happens. Good on the Stars.

But never pull your goalie against the Stars. I've never seen a team so good at scoring on the empty net. That was a near 100 foot backhanded goal.
