I don't know why or what happened, but I have been watching hockey several times a week this year. I never really followed it much before but really enjoy it now . Maybe I had a life change of sort

After him and Doug Weight led a locker room revolt(Coach Q got fired), for the new coach(Coach Kitchen), he showed up to training camp about the same size. And of course got injured, and was hampered for first couple months.

That is awesome.
Crosby is having a bizarre season by his standards. He's always gotten more points from assists than goals. He's never had a season in his career in which he's had more goals than assists (which makes sense, he's a gifted passer and a center). He's only once in his career scored more than 40 goals (when he had 51).
Now, this year, he has 26 goals, which is 5 ahead of anyone in the NHL. He's scoring goals at a rate he never has before, but here's the funny thing: he's not getting assists all of a sudden. He only has 16 assists, and this is from a guy who routinely puts up 50 or 60. It's like over the offseason he became a completely different player. Instead of getting a ton of assists and a healthy number of goals, he's not potting a ton of goals with a decent number of helpers. His production curve suddenly looks like Ovechkin or Tarasenko's. He's scoring like a wing.
Weird.

Is anyone else following the world juniors? USA with their third game this afternoon.
USA and Canada both looking good. Finland looking like shite. I don't know if I should be surprised. I get to see a lot of college hockey so I'm more familiar with the US roster than other countries. But with what Finland has, I feel like they should be doing better than they are.
