Don't sleep on the Islanders. Trotz is good at coming up with defensive game plans and they are balanced with their scoring. If Kucherov and Point can be shut down the Islanders will be in this series. The Lightning have a rest advantage and a chip on their shoulder/unfinished business from last year motivation edge but they will have to do more than just show up at the rink to win the series.

I have thought for a few years that they are a deep nasty machine and felt like that Bruins series might be the finals. I'm pretty confident Tampa wins this series, but I think the finals will be really tight.

I love Hedman. The guy is easily the MVP if we happen to win Lord Stanley. His stats arent as strong as Point, but he has been the best player on the ice for us every game. Just so consistently good.

I didn't watch the first round vs. Caps but this Isles team looks more like the one that ended the regular season on a 7 game losing streak.
