watch the HBO documentary on the broad street bullies and you'll understand...hell, if you're coming into philly as an opposing team's fan, you have to know what you're getting yourself into.
i went to a flyers/devils playoff game about 5 years ago...guy wearing a john stevens jersey a few rows in front of me with his NJ friends...they had to be escorted to the bathroom and to the parking lot by security after the game

Scott Stevens?
FWIW - all those northeast teams seem to hate each other. The Rangers, Devils, Flyers, Bruins, Capitals, and even the Islanders when they are good have some very heated battles. I think all of those places (when the team is winning) are tough to go into as an opposing fan.

I went to Flyers game in old Spectrum. Just an awesome experience. Flyers fans are evil, but hey bring it. And anyone who hates the Rangers can't be all bad.
I miss the Patrick Division.

Sorry if already addressed.
Anyone else watching on Versus HD having the sound (crowd reactions, announcers) about 2 seconds behind the action?

Sitting in traffic on the way back from the flyers game becuase the phillies game got out at the exact same time...
Anyways the game was amazing! Crazy atmosphere along with a great flyers win....briere and gagne once again show their offensive presence and billy leino is showing he is going to have a very promoising career...oh and michael leighton is a fricking beast! 4-0 in postseason...in philly flyers 9 habs 0...great to be a flyers fan!
I took some pics...ill post them when I get home...if someone can post some hawks-sharkies updates on here, I would appreciate it....

Wow what a shot! Chi 1-0.
These two teams seem really evenly matched thus far in the series
Edit: 2-0.

Chicago played really well tonight. I thought Niemi might be due for a bit of a letdown after Game 1, but he came through. The one thing to keep in mind is that Chicago has been much better on the road than at home in the playoffs so it's not necessarily as big of an advantage as it currently appears to be. But they are definitely in firm control of the series and are playing great hockey. I thought the Flyers would win, but didn't expect another shutout. I'm not going to count the Habs out just yet, but they don't look to be anywhere close to the Flyers at this point. Leighton has been excellent and the offense has improved dramatically since Gagne's return. And 6 wins in a row is impressive as hell in the playoffs.

Montreal can't handle Philly's ability to roll so many different offensive threats. Philly Chicago final.

Philly Chicago final.
It certainly looks that way, but there's still a lot of hockey left to be played before that happens. I think that would be a pretty exciting match up. t's hard not to like the tempo that the Hawks play with and the Flyers have been putting up a lot of goals lately. It'd be bizarre to see a Stanley Cup final with Leighton and Niemi as the goalies. The young/inexperienced guys (Rask, Halak, Anderson, Niemi, etc.) have outperformed the big names by a significant margin.
For some reason, I don't hate this Philly team as much as usual. I guess I always like pulling for the underdog and they've overcome a ton of injuries/bad luck. But I'm definitely pulling for the Hawks to win it all given that they're my second favorite team (albeit a distant second).

I can't believe Montreal didnt score a single goal through two complete games. Chicago is deadly with a lead and they have a stranglehold on this series as it stands, I think they may have actually learned how to win under any circumstances a lot like Stevie Y and Gretz used to say; "We had to learn How to win..."
