i have never seen more egregious NO CALLS. NHL looks like a 3 ring circus tonight as far as officiating goes. a fricking joke. motherfrickers should be strung up outside the Bell Centre.

Detroit got out some pent up frustration, but it just counts as one game. IF they manage to beat SJ on the road, then it's a series again. The Pens blew a good chance tonight to take control of the series. The first two Habs goals were soft; Fleury screwed up royally on both. The last one was just a bad break, but they should've posted another goal themselves considering all the chances they had. I knew they could be in trouble when it was still only 2-1 heading into the 3rd, but figured they'd at least get to OT if things went bad.
I guess will find out how much pride Philly has soon. They are supposed to get Gagne back I think and of course Krejci is out for Boston. That should be enough to at least force a game 5, but it's just a formality at this point. Boston seized full control in the last game. Vancouver faces a must win; it'll be interesting to see how they handle that pressure.

I highyl doubt. I think Boyle is sitting on the plane back home telling his teammates Detroit's just blown their wad in one game and to forget about it.
BTW - Crosby in the Habs series has 0 goals, 3 assists, an even +/-, and 8 shots through 4 games. If Ovie had that line, people would be ripping him a new one (especially if he had broken a stick in frustration like Crosby). Hell, people were ripping him a new one when he was scoring over a point a game and was second among goal scorers. This is what I hate about the Ovie/Crosby debate... it's based on a complete lie (Ovie the Choker and Sid the Clutch Player). both are great players, but we only use the evidence which supports our pre-conceived notions to build the storyline. Both are great players, that's the storyline. The Habs are playing out their collective asses, that is the storyline.

Yes, but he's getting credit for things beyond him. Who was the guy who carried the Pens tothe Stanley Cup last year? It was Malkin (you know, the guy who lead the team in points, PIM, and game winning goals in the postseason). Crosby played great, but it's not like he carried the team himself. He scored the game winning goal in the Olympics, but A) Canada was a heavy favorite, B) that goal was entirely set up Jarome Iginla's work in the corner and C) Iginla outplayed him over the course of the tourney. Crosby is a great player who has had the good fortune to play on great teams.
But, seriously, do you honestly believe there would not be people calling for his head right now if it was Ovie who lit up Ottawa and then did a disappearing act against the Habs through four? People ripped on Ovie in the first round when he was leading the NHL in scoring, so I don't think it's a far leap.
I just hate the storyline, which I think is false. Can't they just both be great players?

They are both great players...just ones the second coming of Gretzky and the other one is Luc Robitaille
Also youngest permanent captain in the NHL who also happened to be the youngest cpatain to hoist a Stanley Cup...

between the Spurs and the Canucks...I have to get two tvs ready side by side...and alot of beer to settle my nerves.
I haven't liked the lack of punch from Vancouver's offense over the past 5 periods or so...
