Best comeback team this year.... get it done boys!

This is basically the same Bruins team that was the #1 seed in the East last year
With the obvious exception of Kessel, and the offense certainly suffered without him in the regular season. But you're right about the core of the team and Rask has been great in net. Perhaps the biggest difference is the expectation level. Last year, they had a lot of pressure on them; this year, nobody expected much heading into the playoffs. I thought the first round matchup was ideal for them and it obviously couldn't have worked out any better for a 6th seed to get to play the 7th this round. The question will be if they can continue to consistently score; especially as expectations begin to rise at home.
As far as the Pens, I'm not ready to assume they're going to advance just yet. I'm obviously a big Pens fan and want that to happen (and think it will), but it'd be a big mistake to count out the Habs after what they did against the Caps. I'll gladly worry about a Pens-Bruins conference final series when the time comes, but I'm not about to put the curse on them by doing it prematurely.

No goal-tender interference there. WOW!!

frickING Ridiculous..... Hell I wish LSU could do a power run up the middle like that.

That was bullshite...and did Burrows just take a swing at a ref?
Posted on 5/5/10 at 11:11 pm to TexasTiger08
Nah Burrows made incidental contact with the ref...
Posted on 5/5/10 at 11:12 pm to igoringa
Probaly get a 2 minute penalty at the beginning of game 4 for that.

Why don't you go give someone a handjob to keep your hands busy and off the computer.

Polemics aside, that was an impressive win for Chicago. That last goal should not have counted, but they had a two goal lead at that point and were in firm control of the game. That was Luongo's first poor game since being pulled against the Kings. Niemi was very good yet again. All of the pressure is on Vancouver now to take game 4 and I expect them to. It's odd that there's only been one close game so far. I thought they'd pretty much trade close wins throughout.

And Satan has already matched Kessel's playoff production last year. With the Leafs' continuing struggles, that trade keeps looking better and better for the Bruins!

It's definitely a good situation for the Bruins. They're going to get Seguin or Hall and either one of those should be able to come in and contribute immediately. Plus they'll get the Leafs' 1st round pick next year as well. Considering what they've found in net with Rask, the future looks pretty bright for them.

Man, considering Knuble got whistled for goalie interference for barely grazing the pad, Byflugien not getting whistled is absolutely absurd. the goalie itnerference rule clearly needs to be looked at in the offseason so we can have some consistent enforcement. It clearly needs to be a reviewable infraction at the very least.
Byflugien, though, is perhaps the closest thing we have to Claude Lemieux in the NHL these days. He's just so damn annoying, I hope he gets hit by a bus.

That's probably the best way to put it. He's one of those fricks that just has that "look". They just look like a jackass, walk like one, etc, etc...I guess skate like one too.

Krejci is out the rest of the playoffs (dislocated wrist). Along with the loss of Sturm, it's hard to imagine how they're going to keep finding goals consistently.

Heck, I like the Hawks and hate Byflugien. That sums it up perfectly, doesn't it?

Once your team is out of it Baloo You begin manufacturing reason to care.....
