Granlund has been on a tear for the Ducks and a lot of it has to do with John Carlson setups. They have good chemistry.

#74 was a sage trade deadline pickup for Quenneville/Management

Avs have stepped up on the road trip and barring complete collapse, now it's seeing where everyone will fall in the Pacific and WC

Would take losing 4 in a row to have the last game v Dallas even mean something for standings.

The weekend offered absolutely no clarity on playoff races
WC2 in West even more up for grabs than it was last week - 5 teams within 4 points of the Preds at 77pts

Torts is back. a-hole, but he's an excellent short-term coach.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Vegas turn it on and go deep in the playoffs. Also wouldn't be surprised to see Vegas crater and fall apart completely.

Either way, tremendous respect for how the Knights run their club. Everyone is expendable, and everything is dedicated to excellence.

Everything you said is why I want to see Edmonton-Vegas in the first round.
Both teams with pre-season Cup expectations and very underwhelming regular seasons. Either could go all the way or just crash out.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised to see Edmonton catch the Ducks for the division (even though they haven't won 3 straight regulation games all season). Not much time left to jump teams.

Makar left in the second period last night with UBI

Hopefully since the game was over it's just a precaution.

Avs moneyline and Kadri scoring a goal was the biggest no-brainer.

Carolina clinched last night, Buffalo will have to wait another day
Montreal and Boston are rolling - they are looking like locks
Pittsburgh looking good for Metro 2 right now
Columbus is absolutely collapsing down the stretch

I really think the Oilers will now win the Pacific, they are coming on strong and Anaheim is fading
San Jose with game in hand now is in the WC2 but tied with Nashville and LA
LA only has 19 regulation wins

Utah is looking like they will get in, and make some noise. There's a lot to like about this Mammoth team.

Puck just dropped. Blues at Ducks. Blues 3 points out. Big game for STL.

Dallas Colorado tight as usual

I'm mainly just hoping for no more Avalanche injuries, regardless of result.

The Stars strategy of not shooting the puck but trying to win a game is not fun to watch

FFS Otter goes to the bench and the Avs had more shots on goal in that span.

They like to play that way against the Avs and it tends to work since they take advantage of what limited opportunities they have. They are happy to let Colorado just roll up low danger opportunities. Been that way for a few years.
