Must be nice when the league gives you every advantage to be this great this quickly.

My Ducks have been on fire lately. Just gave VGK their first regulation loss.

Ducks are a very young team that is showing promise and have been fun to watch.

I’m still not expecting playoffs this year but the future looks bright!

Ducks have definitely been impressive. Choking away that 2 goal lead in the 3rd sucked but those Ducks 30th anniversary unis were SHARP.

Yeah, they haven't missed a beat since last season. I think they're really missing the leadership of Landy honestly. I know that seems cheesy, but they're too stacked for anything else to make sense!

I'm surprised how many Ducks fans don't like that uniform.

Interesting bit of Kraken news to report: first line RW Jordan Eberle was injured in practice today with a “deep” skate cut to his leg.

Shane Wright has been called up to fill in… here we go…

VGK fall to the Kings 4-1. Not pushing the panic button yet but if SJ comes in and gets a win, it’ll be time for some concern.

They lost 2-0 to my Pens last night.

Oilers lose to Sharks. At least I won't be conned into picking them to reach the Stanley Cup Finals this time.

Oilers may be in a Panther situation from last year- underachieving team needs a hot run at end of season just to make the playoffs. They can do it but they are digging a very deep hole.

Avs lost again, heartbreaker at the buzzer. Seattle's style seems to get in their head. They are not playing well defensively. Allowed 3+ goals in 7 of 8 games regardless of goalie.

The Kraken just don’t seem to have the chemistry they had last year. BUT…

We saw a flash of it last night in the win over the Avs, 4-3.

The rookies stepped up huge and the whole team played fast, like they are “supposed” to do.

I think the book is out on how to beat the Kraken, and everyone’s read it… just beat them up. They are not physical, and you can beat the hell out of their best players with virtually no retribution. The Kraken need to find a way to adapt.

The Pittsburgh Penguins announced that they are retiring Jaromir Jagr's No. 68 jersey on Feb. 18.

"Pittsburgh, I'm coming home," Jagr said in a video posted on social media.

Jagr, 51, played 1,733 career regular-season games in the NHL over 24 seasons. He ranks fourth all-time in games played and goals (766) and fifth in assists (1,155), and only Wayne Gretzky (2,857) has recorded more points than Jagr, who has 1,921. No player in NHL history has more game-winning goals than Jagr's 135.

McDavid and Draisaitl have combined for 7 goals. And still have the same shoddy defense and goaltending as always.

The Avs are broken, losing 6-1 to St Louis at home

Beginning of the season was a mirage, they need to start over. Not sure what happened to Georgiev he was a Vezina candidate after the first 6 games leading the league in save percentage and now the entire team just sucks.
