Fun fact of the day for old school hockey fans; Barry Melrose is cousins with both Joey Kocur and Wendell Clark.

Leave it to a woman hockey announcer to give a shout out to the people decorating the visiting team's locker room.

For all the good Manson has done to start the game… that was so bad that the good is gone.

Cassie Campbell Pascal used to work games on Sportsnet for years.

Avalanche retake the lead just like that.

2 Avs goals before I could blink to take the lead 3-2. Top 3 Avs lines have goals in the first period.

Manson screwed up again. 3-3. Before I could even post.

This game is bonkers.

Not for long, scoreboard operator may get carpel tunnel syndrome by the end of this period.

A tale of two halves of the first period for Manson.

Dude’s start was ridiculously good, both recent goals are on him and not Georgiev.

Avs have to keep this pace to have a chance. Our D woes are going to continue.

More goals in the first period of this game than were scored in the entirety of either of the two earlier games.

A lot to digest after that period

Avs came out on fire and couldn't have played better
Then shortly after going up 1-0, gave up the goal and momentum for about 7-8 minutes.
After that, game got insane and back/forth

Manson completely screwed up on those two goals (Mittelstadt got punked on the boards before Manson defensive lapse on the third too), so that is really why it is tied.

Was hoping to go into 2nd only down by 1 or tied, so this is fine but it's been weird. I'm mostly happy we're getting shots past Hellebuyck.
Avs are in trouble if Winnipeg keeps cycling in their end since we obviously haven't been able to clear the zone all year.

Whoever controls the pace wins this series. That period can’t be a flash in the pan for the Avs, it’s gotta be how it goes for us to have a shot. We do probably need to get 1.5x-2x SOG on WPG to win.

Good neutral zone control by COL, created a BUNCH of dangerous scoring chances that could’ve put 5-6 on the board, but two absolutely horrific defensive zone plays (one entirely inexcusable, the other common) by Manson has this tied.

Avs being tied 3-3 may not bode well for this one, it very easily could’ve been 5-1 with how the game was played minus Manson’s 2 blunders.

To paraphrase Warren Zevon, I'd like to meet P.K. Subban's tailor.

I hope neither team is depending on the power play tonight. If the refs aren't going to call that trip they aren't going to call anything.

God that goal was such bullshite Winnipeg player broke his stick and created a 2 on 1

If these breaks keep going against the Avs they won't stay close, plus the no-call on Morrissey

If your goalie is going to have a .600 save percentage all the breaks in the world aren't going to save you.

4 goals on 10 shots after the month Giorgiev has had should be a pretty clear indication that you have but no choice to go to Aunennen in game 2. He has the Yips. He’s shell shocked and mentally broken.

Holy crap Mackinnon's speed on the breakout where he almost scored at the start of the third.

frick this game - if the Avs are going to play this well minus a few moments and still have this shite luck with lack of clutch saves and lose, no chance here
