I mean who knows with the NFL rules but he definitely has the ball if he doesn’t get hit there. In my opinion that should be a fumble. Who knows if it is?

Everythings an incomplete pass these days unless you catch the ball, make a sandwich and do the foxtrot for about 5 yards.

If they had called it a fumble it may have a chance to stay as called.
No way they overturn it.

Don’t mind the challenge in the first half, second half and the timeout is worth much more.

He had to challenge

Yea I agree with the current rules.
In my opinion that SHOULD be a fumble though. He obviously had complete possession and the ball was forced out

In real time the ball was in contact with his hands for maybe a half second before it’s knocked out. That isn’t a catch

Wow what a run by Harris - went from 0 to 60 in a flash

I didn’t even think it was particularly close.

I understand it’s not with the current rules
It should be IMO. The ball was in his hands, never bobbled, and he turned upfield. That should be a catch IMO

Bears just standing around.
Hey, no - you come us and we'll let you run by us as we try to tackle you.

The current rule is basically designed specifically so that the play that just happened isn’t ruled a fumble. I’m okay with that

Payton doesn't really want to get slimmed.

Agreed

I don’t agree with this though. If someone has obvious possession and gets the ball hit out it should be a fumble

The ref consultant said he didn't make the 3rd part of the catch.
Which is the football move. Which USED to be just turning up field.
Now a football move is you ask the defender for a date and then dance with him.

Saints offense is too damn Inconsistent. Bears dinged up big time
Posted on 1/10/21 at 5:06 pm to mizzoubuckeyeiowa
Bears gonna win this game if Sean doesn't stop chucking the ball.
Run the fricking ball

I think the problem with ruling catches how you want them ruled is that when you slow down any catch it’s very easy to say they had control of the ball for a millesecond when looking in slow mo. I do agree that a football move is completely left up to interpretation
