Trade: Colts are sending three-time Pro-Bowl DT DeForest Buckner back to the 49ers, the team that made him a 2016 first-round pick before dealing him to Indianapolis in 2020, per me and @rapsheet. Now Buckner returns to San Francisco, fortifying the 49ers defensive line.

that's a massive trade, probably the best Guard in the league.

I usually am in favor of a team tearing things up to rebuild. But, football teams are built from the front to the back. Getting rid of solid OL is not worth it. Dump WRs/DBs/QBs, if you must. Keep all the good linemen you can.

He’s a free agent after this year so basically you’re taking the 3rd in a projected string class rather than wait for that 3rd to come in a comp pick in 2028

Or, re-sign him.
It takes 2 to tango there, does he want to sign up for another multi year rebuild? And does it make sense to tie high end resources for an aging guard when you’re going into that multi year rebuild? Probably not on either side

It would be a fun mechanism if teams could do a true trade block and teams could blind bid on players available similar to the Waiver Wire. Give the trading team the ability to back out but could be a way to facilitate more trades

I'm wondering what the plan is for Seattle's offensive line.
Cross is now out with a high ankle sprain, but Josh Jones filled it well at the end of last season.
Anthony Bradford came back and did well against the Chiefs.
So, who is the odd man out? Does Zabel kick out to LT, Nelson at LG, Sundell at C, Bradford at RG, and Lucas at RT.
Or does Jones come in a LT, Zabel to RG, Nelson to LG therefore benching Bradford?
