The Cowboys basically handled it the perfect way, show your protest

But it wasn't a protest at all. It was touching the seat in the front of the bus then immediately going to the back but acting like you're Rosa Parks.

This sums up the whole 'protest'

I'm patriotic as hell, but I'm glad I'm not patriotic enough to be triggered over football players.

This. I just want to watch my teams play and hopefully win. Because I enjoy football and sport in general. I really don't give a frick about the political persuasions of the players. The they're entitled to them, of course, but whether I agree or disagree with what they're saying, it isn't the reason I'm tuning in.

I disagree with the majority of Hollywood and I have a low opinion of anyone who besmirches the flag, but that's not going to stop me from choosing to spend my hard earned dollar on a movie that looks good or a football game.

Where are all the people saying the boycott and cancelling DirecTV Sunday Ticket wasnt going to have any affect on ratings or money in the NFL's pocket?

I think the NFL is really worried about the huge boycott that is scheduled for Veterans Day

What's the overlap between people who like that meme and believe that Michael Bennett pic was real?

Exactly. It was a stunt by JJ to tell his locker room that he was with them up until a certain point.

You could say that but it was cheapened even further with the locking arms and pre-knees.

Trump doesn't want this conversation to end. Mainly because it takes away from the culture war he so desperately wants at the moment.

Why in the frick would he throw in a winning hand? That's some kind of stupid on your part. But I guess folks are just used to forcing the Republicans into doing that

The league is broken. Revenues are dropping like rocks

The media is broken. Suspending personalities, firing pervs, losing revenue

BLM sympathizers are being soundly booed an national TV

And its causing Trumps poll numbers to trend up

He is a shoe-in for re-election. This is a game changer. Americans eyes are being opened to the intentional destruction of an ordered society. And you want him to leave those illiterate buffoons alone, so they cant demonstrate the liberal theology for the whole world to see?

The meltdown would be stupendous

The NFL handled this is the absolute worst possible way.

The second these protests started they should have immediately put a stop to them. There would have been a very minor news cycle where the left wing media criticized them, and it would have been largely over.

Instead in their fear they let the thing fester and spiral out of their control and their desire to not offend anyone led to them pissing off everyone.

It was painfully obvious they were going have to stop these protests at some point and they will now draw x1000 more hate from the left wing media now.

Every single employer on the planet forces their employees to do things.

That's sort of how it works.

If you don't like an employer's policies then quit.

Wish this would all die.

No one's talking about it but only reason Jerry said what he said on Sunday was because he wanted to change the talking points away from Packers/Cowboys and another bad loss and 2-3 start. 100% serious.

He's laughing at you for not understanding the 1st amendment has nothing to do with your "rights" as an employee. The amount of Americans who don't even slightly comprehend the 1st Amendment is staggering.

crybaby Trump always gets his way. He really is King Joffrey, but real, and in the form of an insecure old man with a terrible tan.

This whole thing was almost a memory until Trump tweeted about it. It would probably start to fade away again if they just ignore it. This seems a bit unnecessary.

Trumpkins are very much low IQ. They don't understand this. Their lord and savior caused this chaos by opening pandoras box because he got his feelings hurt by Steph Curry.

The NFL attacked Trump before they realized that the vast majority of regular Americans agreed with him.

Left wingers live in this bizarre bubble and don't comprehend how out of touch they are

Shocking. Another lib making blanket statement that all republicans are stupid. For the party that's for inclusion and against stereotypes, you guys sure do like to stereotype. 2020 is going to be a landslide.

Dude, we had a handful of players kneeling before Trump made any remarks. Why is it so hard to see that he caused this shitstorm? I do not agree with the kneeling, I do not think it's the best way to protest. But I also don't care what others do as long as it isn't harming anyone. I absolutely believe these players lost site of what Kaepernick was trying to protest for, and it became about them kneeling out of spite because of Tumps unnecessary remarks. Trump doesn't open his mouth (this is impossible, we have figured this out by now because he tweets more than 14 year olds), and none of this even happens. The kneeling would've been a forgotten thing. Why? Because it was damn near already to that point.

I saw this coming. But this will not end well. Players will not appreciate the owners effectively shutting them up, and they will find something else to piss Trump and the owners off.

Not to mention there will be plenty of people who will boycott the NFL.

Basically, this NFL is in a lose-lose situation. And it's all Trumps fault.
