Are you serious? I love colston, Moore, etc...and by no means are they scrubs, but outside of graham, brees has had no elite offensive skill players in NOLA. Brady was winning Super Bowls with David patten and Troy brown. And even if brees' cast was the best, it shows in the numbers. Ryan is playing with one of if not the best set of skill players. Where are the brees like numbers? 0 TDs and 5 picks is disgraceful.

It's not about one or two guys being a stud, it's about the cast as a whole. He had a top 3 TE in Graham, a top 12-15 receiver in Colston, one of the top 3-4 number twos in Robert Meachem, one of the best slot guys in Devery Henderson, and a Danny Amendola type as your 4th damn receiver. You went 4 damn deep at WR. Then you went 4 damn deep at running back. Your 4th damn back was Mark fricking Ingram. You had the best receiving back in the damn game as well. You also had the best damn line in the league last year. To top it all off you had easily the best offensive mind in the game calling your plays and played no less than 9 games in a dome last season.

I agree that Matt Ryan has no business in any MVP talks this year but for Saints fans to say it's because he has a great/the best supporting cast in the league is outright laughable considering your little hero was the biggest welfare queen at quarterback in the last at least dozen years.

Why aren't Rodgers and Brady leading the race or at least even with Manning?

Rodgers and Manning are leading right now. Will be interesting to see how Gronk's absence affect Brady's performance the rest of the year.

Best guard tandem in the league, yes.

Our Center play was abysmal until about midway through the year. Our Tackles were pretty much revolving doors and Brees probably avoided at least 20 sacks with masterful footwork/quick release.

I have absolutely 0 clue how Bushrod made a pro-bowl. Are NFC tackles that bad?

Statistically speaking, you had the best pass blocking line in the league. Your run blocking was right up there. Rodgers won MVP because his line was arse, he had no running game (second worst in the league, and he put up the best QB rating in NFL history.

robert meachem sucks

lance moore UDFA

Colston 7th round pick

devery henderson - i won't even respond to the idea that he is one of the best slot guys in the NFL, that is preposterous. He is a deep threat with questionable hands at best. He has flourished in NOLA because of drew brees

none of these guys would perform at the same level without a qb of brees' caliber.

mark ingram is a name. He has been very good the last 3 weeks but his performance does not merit any kind of wow, how amazing.

pierre thomas is an UDFA who i don't personally think that highly of

ivory - UDFA who i do think with a 20 plus carry workload could be a special back, so I'll give you that

Sproles is a scat back, he is maximized in a brilliant offense with a great qb.

Jahri Evans and Carl Nicks - studs, though nicks was never consistent

bushrod, strief, stinchcomb, brown and DLP - to you if you think you can have the best line in football wrapping 2 great guards with this trash

the talent looks so good because brees is so good. period. I'm pretty sure Jones, white and gonzo would be what they are with any qb under center

The WRs, RBs, and OL's success is a direct byproduct of Drew Brees.

Guys like Colston, Moore, Nicks, Evans, Sean Payton, and soon to be Graham should give Brees 10% of their huge contracts. He has made this team and organization. We are talking mid to late round picks and undrafted free agents.

A guy like Matt Ryan has 2 stud 1st round WRs to throw to and a 1st rd, HOF TE. That's what he needs to be successful. Drew Brees would put Harry Douglas and Jacquizz Rodgers in the Pro Bowl. Jason Snelling would be relevant in a Drew Brees offense. Michael Jenkins would've been Marques Colston.

Great stat.

God this thread is attracting Saintards quicker than moths to a bonfire. You people sure are obsessed with Matt Ryan and his 9-1 Atlanta Falcons.

same way the Saints fans think winning one Super Bowl makes everything about their team better than the Falcons...

or we can go with the 11-2 record we have over the Falcons with Brees. Or the fact that we've actually won a playoff game.

I think wins is the only way to measure it therefore Matt Ryan = Matt Schaub > all the rest

not a result of playing an easy schedule at all. Peyton Manning and Peterson are the 2 favorites right now

When you play Pac-12/Big-12 style football in a grown man league, yeah it is pretty easy.
