You can tell from Jameis' interviews that he still doesn't have near the maturity needed to lead a franchise.

"I just keep it real, ya know"

Yeah this obviously shows he can't be a leader.

Well Jameis should do those impersonations when talking to the media, so he doesn't sound like an idiot.

Yea they do a great job up there.

And David Johnson has great hands and is very versatile. He was the most impressive RB at the Senior Bowl. Even been talk about him playing in an H-Back role or slot WR.

Will be a good mid round pick.

Did you just compare NFL interviews to regular job interviews?

Everybody because I'd be personable and the interviewer would love me.

This isn't some corporate job it's for the NFL - a game. 50% of current NFL players probably talk much worse than Jameis. If you've actually listened to him in his interviews this week he actually sounds fine. People are just hanging on to his old, tired running joke post-game speech after the NCG.

Plus "keeping it real" isn't bad at all. That's how his generation from his upbringing speak. Get over it has nothing to do with him as a football player.

As it was pointed out in the article, Manziel was killing it in the interviews last year too

But I'm told by three different sources who interviewed Winston, including someone who was part of the Manziel interview process last year, that Winston is no Manziel.

as was this

Yeah but my thing is if you want to knock Jameis for his play, mechanics, etc. (Like you did the other day) that's perfectly fine and somewhat warranted. It's the people who think he won't be a successful NFL QB because he doesn't talk as proper as they feel he should that I think are idiotic.

His leadership and football IQ was never really a question. And those who think it was don't pay attention.

im having a hard time believing his IQ is that high considering the INT party he had this past year. He made some terrible decisions.

Well Ryan Fitzpatrick is like the smartest player in the league, and he makes plenty of bad decisions.

yea but they are lauding Winston's football IQ.

He clearly lacks in normal every day smarts. We all know that.

Maybe he is good on the board. But even that doesn't always translate to the field. Dude threw 18INTs this past season.

Think it had more to do with the off the field issues.

I thought both Andrew Luck and Matt Ryan threw too many interceptions in college, but they ended up working out.

Matt Ryan definitely threw a ton of INTs his SR year. On another note, he also wasn't on a team talented enough to win 26 games in a row or whatever FSU pulled off.

Luck threw 22 total in 3 years. Jameis had 18 alone this past year.
