So one guy was saved, and two took their life vests off and drifted out to sea. What about the other guy? Wasn't their 4 people? What did they say about him?

I figured as much. I said that yesterday on the other thread about this. That they probably lost hope too their jackets off and drowned. If your wearing a life jacket, you don't sink or float away without being noticed from the air. They supposedly found one empty life jacket and anther regular jacket floating miles away from where the boat was.

Schuyler, 24, told investigators that about two to four hours after their boat capsized Saturday in rough seas, one of the two professional football players gave up hope and let himself be swept away, according to family members of two of the missing men.

A few hours later, the second one did the same.

"We were told that Nick said the two NFL players took their life jackets off and drifted out to sea," said Bob Bleakley, whose son Will, 25, is also still missing.

With former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith gone, only Schuyler and Bleakley remained clinging to the boat.

Then, sometime Monday morning, Will Bleakley thought he saw a light in the distance and decided to take off his life jacket and swim to it, hoping to get help.

Bleakley had to be out of his box at that point to think swimming towards a light was a good idea

it actually sounds like bleakley was the hero swimming under to recover the life jackets

I think someone said it earlier it was most likely an illusion.

The "wife" of the "nfl player" that was interviewed yesterday seemed to be smiling during the interview.

This is a really weird story..even the media thinks it's bizarre. Ummm, do you think she was smiling because of the large insurance policy she had on her husband? And why in the hell did only 1 out of 4 make it? I highly doubt that after just 4 hours you're giving up on your life! It just seems weird and only he knows the truth.

There is no conspiracy at this point.

Schuyler is beginning to answer some of the questions that troubled me.

Bleakley gave three vests away and took the flotation cushion. That's a man. I would now wonder why he didn't end up with one of the others removed vests.

The timing of the NFL guys departures from the group is still a troubling question that hasn't really been answered for me.

If Bleakley reacted to severe dehydration only hours prior to rescue, that is the saddest part of this story. I think Schuyler was rescued around 11AM, and he says that Bleakley took off Monday morning.

I'm pretty sure that the families of the NFL players are not going to believe that their guys just left and gave up 4 hours in. Trust me, they will think something's wrong here too.

I don't know what I would do in that situation so can't pass judgement. But I'm sure I would do everything in my power to stay with the damn boat. This whole thing troubles me.

seriously, what do you people think happened?

that he went 50 miles off shore, sunk the boat and risked his own life sitting in the ocean for 2 days while he killed his 3 "friends"?

I mean what are these conspiracies people keep hinting at? anyone want to elaborate because i would love to hear them besides saying "something fishy went on"

so he said Bleakley gave three vests away and took the flotation cushion, and then later said that Bleakley took off his life vest when he thought he saw a light and swam to it?

well, did you read the part where the two players took off their life vests and swam?
Whats up with these conspiracy theories.
The 2 NFL players thought they'd be strong enough to swim a distance looking for some help. That's heroic.
