Suckers bet huh. I guess

I know right at the half I was reeeally liking the fact that I had -3.5. What I should have done is take both Denver and the raiders in it like Carson said. would've paid nice

Anyways. anybody here getting a Steeler line yet?

if you bet Denver -9.5 and Under 47 you would've won both bets anyway.

Generally I don't play teasers, but tonight was a pretty difficult game to judge. Thursday night games are always a crap shot, and add into that it's a divisional matchup with a big line involved.

I will say the best teasers are ones involving the same game. like the spread/total tonight.

btw it seems like these Thursday games always go under this year.

my site says Steeler -7.5

which makes me lean no play. Reluctant to back the Steelers in Big Ben's first game back and their mediocre offense and no way in hell am I backing the sinking Chargers in a 10AM pacific time game in cold weather.

Value based teasers can be very beneficial. Saw a Vegas guy on twitter say the smartest thing you can do is tease an NFL line through seven and three. Many time teasers hit without being teased but would you have been confident enough to bet it without the tease?

People associate teasers with 10 teams 10 point teasers. Nah. They can provide great value and give you a line you normally wouldn't bet. It's all about pulling the trigger. If a tease helps you pull trigger on a line you like then it helps.

Teasers get bad reps as sucker bets. When tonight 3 outta 4 seven point teasers woulda hit. Raiders, Denver, and Under. Over woulda missed by one point. Clearly sucker bets.

Exactly, not sure I would have played tonight if I wasn't able to tease the spread down a bit.

Nah man teasers are not sucker bets. There are some weekends in the NFL where 90% of the games hit both sides. They were $$ for me last year. I've gotten away from it, but I need to go back to it. Also people tell you not to cross zeros, but I don't buy that at all. Teasers are worthless in basketball though.

As far as the game tonight is there anything worse than betting on a team that straight up quits? There were 6 minutes left in the game with the chance of a backdoor and Denver runs out the clock. Embarrassing.

Moving ahead, I've noticed Redskins have moved up from -2.5 to -3.

And I'm leaning Redskins. The Ravens by all measures are an average team benefiting from luck/turnovers in close games... they also have trouble against the run. I think Washington's offense is a nightmare to defend.

He was 3-2 last week right?

Will his amazing record catching up with him this weekend? Or will it come back to grace and go 5-0?

I can see Dallas +3, being Cincy is riding high.
Tenn +5.5, Luck at home...questionable.
Carolina at home against Atlanta, even with Cam playing really good right now, +3.5 is questionable.
Cleveland at home -6.5 against KC I like actually
Baltimore +2.5 on the road against RGIII I do not like. But the Ravens can be really good, and they can be really dull. This ones a toss up IMO but I dont think I'd play +2.5

May do a 5 team teaser with his 5 and then a 5 team parlay, just in case for half a unit or something.

I like the Carolina play and am on it as well. Sandwich game for Falcons between Saints and Giants. Cam playing well and read quotes from players about being fired up after the loss in KC. Also don't forget the ridiculous come back win Atlanta had at home early in the year against Carolina so there is a revenge factor as well.
