Exactly, that's why big programs never make bad hires.

Oh wait.

Well I did say I expected them to make a good hire. I never said they would without a doubt another good hire. I mean damn I expected the Saints to win last week and look how that turned out.

Having more money doesn't guarantee getting a better coach, but it sure as hell increases the chances.

Too bad you are wrong the proper names are...University of Louisiana at Lafayette and University of Louisiana at Monroe. If you want to correctly identify the school, do it correctly.

I think the next hire at UL will be a guy who has some ties to Farmer.

Various reports out there that if we win another bowl game this year, Hud's salary gets bumped to 1 mil/yr.

Dude is gone if there is no dropoff from last year.

A $1 million isnt going to be enough to keep him

But the talk of a 60k seat stadium is kinda of hilarious

I would wait and see what kind of hire they can pull of before discussing an expansion.

Now a refurb or upgrade should be the focus

What jobs are going to open up? If an SEC team comes calling, yeah he's gone. I don't think he wants to leave the southeast. His biggest recruiting advantage is in Mississippi. If Miss St would hire him, he'd own Mississippi, easy.

If it's a CUSA type team, I don't think he's gone.

I think that Farmer being in control more has allowed them to spend more. I wished they could do more to the Dome, but since they don't own it, not much can be done.

We also sucked until last year so there's that.

But your opening crowd was lower than any game from last year. And this was the first game after winning a bowl game, when the interest should be at an all-time high. Your program has topped 30k just 3 times in the last 5 years

You talking about Mullen getting fired away from Moo State? Because there is no chance he's fired this season unless they go 0-fer the rest of the way (don't see it happening with South Alabama and MTSU on the schedule).

Now hired away from there is a different story

I think Mullen gets lured away by somebody. I don't think he should leave, but someone big will have a surprise opening.

Okay, I may agree with that, but I read that the first time and thought you were talking about him being fired

I'm calling it now, State gets to 7-0 before losing, next 4 are:
South Alabama
@Kentucky
Tennessee
MTSU

Of course then they get Bama, A&M and LSU back to back to back so there goes that perfect season

Also rained all day and we were playing Lamar. A bunch of people went home when the rains started around noon

It was also the week of hurricane Isaac and it stormed all day. Usually on those types of days the crowd would have been a lot thinner.

Lamar didn't bring any fans to speak of. Are you actually a Lamar fan Speedy?

Baylor will turn this into a scrimmage. ULM has nothing left.

Arkansas and Auburn thought the same thing but the University of Louisiana Warhawks gave them all they could handle.
