This was very much a "Tiger Woods vs the field" kind of year with Ohio State and everyone else.

that's a little much haha they lost to a pretty bad Michigan team.

they played well down the stretch but Oregon had some bad injury luck for their rematch.

OSU was 1 play away from likely going to OT (or kicking a fg as time expired) with Texas and didn't put away notre dame until the last 2 minutes.

Boodis Man
its just a waste of time....make these mofos join the B1G and earn their place the hard way just like everyone else.
I mean, one 3rd down stop away from having the ball for a potential game-tying drive.

They more than earned the right to be in the game. They are just outclassed and that’s okay.

Meh I think OSU wins that game by 40 if they want.

Game was over after first drive of the second half

Considering OSU was an incomplete 3rd-and-11 away from punting to ND in a one-score game with the two-minute warning still remaining, I completely disagree with both your sentences.

I’m not sure why they would’ve wanted to win in blowout fashion against Tennessee and Oregon (which they did) but not do so against ND. There was nothing left to save in the tank or plays to keep hidden for next week either, this was it.

I’m not sure why UGA would’ve wanted to win in blowout fashion against TCU, why Clemson would’ve wanted to win in blowout fashion against Bama, why Bama would’ve wanted to win in blowout fashion against OSU, yet OSU didn’t want to win in blowout fashion against ND? Ryan Day’s so nice he was willing to take the risk of losing the game so it wouldn’t be a blowout?

You play to win the game man

The best chance to win the game was to go conservative on offense up 24. If Notre dame threw a pick six OSU would have taken it and if a hole opened up on a run OSU would have scored.

Also yes OSU didn’t want to embarrass ND and Freeman. He’s an OSU alumni who is doing great things at ND. He’s a Tressel disciple and Tress has huge influence still inside the Woody. Day uses him as an advisor as well

Yeah maybe we should have ND play the SEC champ before they can get in the title game

I think ND deserved to be in the championship game as they earned it on the field, however them not joining a conference seems arrogant at this point and their schedule is softer than owl shite leading up to the playoffs.
