Oh that was never going to happen. LSU was just going to go to the Fiesta or Sugar. OU or OSU was always going to get the 4th spot and lose to Bama. Maybe UCF if Milton had been healthy.

Eh I’m using some humor in all of it. It was probably the worst officiated game I’ve seen because of the sheer number of calls in important plays.
Im not calling for beatdowns of the refs or for LSU to join the Big 12

I highly doubt that. I was on vacation during that game and didn't even get to watch the whole game. I watched a portion of that game's second half on a small hotel tv with a scratchy signal. Also I don't recall having any strong feelings about that game as a) it wasn't close b) I didn't have strong feelings about the 2016 team, and I was mostly just pleased they avoided an early exit c) there weren't really any memorable calls or fouls or dirty plays or anything. I can say that I don't recall a single play form that game just 2.5 years later.
I obviously don't remember if I posted on TD that day, but I rarely post on vacations or when I am out of my normal routine.

having legit discussions about issues Alabama exposed is one thing, but holy shite last night was insanely bad and the melts are even worse

The melt is warranted. It’s a shame we’ve cried wolf on the refs so much in the past.
That was the worst ref ball game I’ve ever seen.

the knee down was legit. hell before the ball got out my friend called his knee down (little did he know how that would come back to bite us in the arse)
i thought the spot was bullshite but apparently the yellow line was wrong. i still think the refs gave him a favorable spot regardless (i'm just not sure if it would still be a 1st)
we have been WAY more lucky than unlucky the past 15 years so maybe Les's rabbit paw was a legit thing and we don't have it now

Yeah the call itself is right but A&M got a huge favor by them not calling it on the field.
