i'm not saying they are world beaters but if they do go undefeated i think their resume would be legit enough to propel them over a 1 loss team. i'm not saying their schedule is a week in week out gauntlet but its not a cake walk like for example the boise states of the world where you play one ranked team and if you win you pretty much guaranteed an undefeated season

Not only is it possible,it is what will happen. If Notre Dame is number 4 and undefeated they will move to number 2 in the final poll and you can book that shite.

Also, everyone is sick of the SEC, if they can find a legitimate reason to not have one of us in the title game they will keep us out. Two undefeated teams is the perfect scenario to leave the SEC out even though they know we would probably beat either of those teams.

Notre Dame looks stout on defense I just think they are playing a bunch of teams that are about like Missouri.

Everyone seems to be forgetting Kstate they are still undefeated, and have already beaten Oklahoma. Don't count them out

ND can beat OU in Norman with the same officiating crew as yesterday in South Bend.
The head linesman, Fr. O' Malley, has a quick enough whistle to slow the Sooners.

Nd deserves a title shot after having the hardest schedule in college football if they win out. Very similar to LSU last year

A one-loss SEC team will NOT be kept out of the title game until the SEC loses the title game. And I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Why? Notre Dame, for once, is a pretty damn good team this year. And if they go through their daunting schedule undefeated, as much as I really hate to say this, they should definitely be in the National Championship.

If Notre Dame and Oregon go undefeated then they'll both deserve to be in the NC game. That being said, the winner of that game will have an asterisks next to their title bc they side stepped having to beat an SEC team

I think ND is the 1, and I could see the SEC team jumping Oregon

Hopefully LSU can get that AP trophy

I dont see the winner of the SEC Championship with one loss (LSU) jumping an undefeated ND or Oregon

Yeah, no shite. Why would they?

Oregon has been to the title game and the Pac 12 is a major conference and is pretty good this year ...ND has a hellish schedule.

We're not talking about the Big East folks.

Some of this SEC fandom is over the top entitlement.

Classic SEC fan logic This isn't a boxing prize fight. The SEC doesn't get to choose a team to defend its title.

Let's look at this logically. Say two of Oregon, Notre Dame, Kansas State or even Rutgers are undefeated. They would logically be ranked one and two, with the one loss SEC team probably ranked #3 in all of the polls. The BCS uses those polls to determine the two national championship game teams. I don't think the pollsters are going to magically jump the one loss SEC team over the two undefeated BCS conference teams in the final polls.

Sorry SEC fans for that bit of logic.
