It's past time for the NCAA to up the stalling penalties late in matches.

It happens in international wrestling too but dudes dancing around to avoid contact and preserve a victory is the worst part of the sport.

Increase stalling penalties to 1 for the first and 2 for the second in the last 30 seconds of a match.

"Stall to win" definitely gets a bit out of hand.

Davino wasn’t taken down once this year. Amazing. The Blaze Davino match was great. Too bad someone had to lose.

Cael's total career as a wrestler and a coach is unparalleled, but as an Oklahoma kid who was deep into youth wrestling in the 1980's, I'll never pass up an opportunity to bring up the living legend John Smith.

I think its impossible to compare wrestlers head to head(unless, of course, they competed against each other), but it does make for a fun conversation. When it comes to coaching, especially when one talks about how many banners you have hanging, what Cael has done, and IS DOING, is unbelievable to me. Fun to watch for sure, but I just had to put the name John Smith out there because he had a hell of a career too, as both wrestler and coach.

I think in k they should separate stalling and fleeing. Make fleeing have no warnings.

133 has been amazing this year, I thought Blaze was a generational talent but he ended up 4th. I think Jax will go nuts tonight.
I also think Vega could upset Mendez

David Taylor has done an outstanding job in just his second year as Oklahoma St. head coach. Got a good group of Freshman (4 Finalist) plus he'll have the Raney twins coming in from Union County Kentucky next season. If he can keep all his guys in the program, they may be a threat in the next few years.

Ferrari brothers bailing out on their teams. Brands brothers must have lost their minds.

I think Angelo has a legit injury and once the title wasn't a possibility anymore he hung it up. I don't know what's up with AJ. Dude is a drama queen.

What’s the difference between free and folkstyle?

Freestyle is all about back exposure to the mat. Big throws that expose the back and rolling your opponent are all scoring moves. Folkstyle is more about control. No throws, no locking hands and simply rolling your opponent doesn't earn points

Greco has similar rules to freestyle, except in Greco you cannot touch legs. It's all upper body grappling.

I’m excited to see another team start to challenge Penn st. Ok st has another really good freshman-Lockett - who got upset early. That team is going to be stacked for a few years.

Forrest is an absolute prodigy. At such a young age, though, thats a lot of pressure to maintain.

The Brands brothers can still coach but it looks like the best Iowa can do is fight for third now that David Taylor's got Okie State rolling.

The Hawkeyes had their chances but they stayed too conservative, Ben Askren advocated for them to fire the Brands and hire Taylor in 2014. That's crazy but he knew.

He's got the right coach who's lived it and they have very similar styles with their aggressiveness and risk-taking.

Obviously Taylor paid the price getting stuck as a freshman by Bubba Jenkins in the championship match so I'm sure that shitty experience helped him with Forrest.

Definitely the best since Spencer Lee and probably a lot better, Spencer was too prone to getting thrown and pinned. Jax looks unbeatable and he should still only be a HS senior. OK St being good, is great for the sport. I was also glad to see the Stanford guy win!
