Huh? Why should they? They’ll use the old regional format tomorrow and be right back on track.
To be on track you have to play 6 games by Sunday. They played zero Friday and two today. I would have scheduled 3 and 3 on Saturday and Sunday.

the "if necessary" games are all scheduled for Monday
with the rain out... they just decided to turn Monday into definite regional championship day in Oxford

Wrong
They play the 2-3-2 method like the old regional format.
Tomorrow
Losers game 1/2
Winners Game 1/2
Winner game 3/Loser Game 4
Monday
Finals
If Game

Right, but I wouldn't have done that. I'd much rather keep Monday as if necessary than required.

just more fair to do it the way they did it
that way... everyone who stays alive has to play 2 times except the winner of the 1-0 game who has earned their advantage

It's not wrong. Obviously that's what they're doing but it is not "on track" compared to the original schedule like you claimed.

a Washington Husky batter just cleared the 20 ft tall wall in dead center at Coastal Carolina

Actually it is back on track like I claimed.

that's why the original is like it is with a game on Monday
to open it up for more games on Monday to make up for rainouts

Monday are for if necessary. There is just as much advantage to finishing up 3-0 Sunday having to play twice Sunday then having to go Monday for sure. Again it's just a different way to do it but I'd try to get back on schedule by Sunday personally.
