I doubt it.
The initial "play in" game was between the two lowest seeded teams overall. The "first four" games when the tournament expanded to 68 generally will have two 16 v 16 games and some combination of a 10 v 10, or 11 v 11 games in a matchup of the last two "at large" teams to get in.
There's no controversy over a SWAC or MEAC team being left out as an at large. The controversy is always over the final at large spots (which are generally the 10-12 seeds).

It's all fun and games, until they realize that 20 or so dII and DIII schools would give you a better game than the #2 swac team.

In the real sporting world it's 16 teams....like it was designed and used to be.
In TV Land, why not go 120.....which Coach said "just invite everybody" Pitino, Calipari, some once Kentucky coach.
It's not a fair and defined sport and hasn't been for awhile.
Its a TV show that doesn't really air until March.
