Just think if they’d lost in St Louis they would have been left out

I hope the jackasses in the committee finally give the Valley its respect

Yes I’m still pissed about SMS 21 RPI being left out 10 years ago also

In a year where corruption has plagued college basketball, it's great to see a story like Loyola make the Final Four. The sport needed this

Tony was a classic

His meltdowns were great. D’Juan Cole would make him go bonkers

Many here don't know but in 1994...

quote:

Texas Tech officials have scheduled a meeting Monday to discuss ways to improve crowd control following a post-basketball game brawl involving fans and Texas A&M Coach Tony Barone and his players.

"Our crowd control situation needs to be looked at," Tech athletic director Bob Bockrath said following the incident Saturday night.

The melee began seconds after A&M's 89-88 victory over Tech when a handful of fans blocked the Aggies' ramp to their dressing room. Four fans initially charged Barone and his son, Tony Barone Jr. One yelled obscenities at Barone then tried to punch the coach, only to be knocked unconscious by a punch from an Aggie player, Joe Wilbert.

Fans were leaning over the handrails and throwing punches at the players. David Edwards, a player, was knocked down.

Barone at aTm wasn’t as good as his Creighton melts

I never understood why aTm hired him. An Italian City Slicker isn’t a match for Texas

Loyola played a great game, this is the first time I've actually watched them for an entire game in the tournament, not just bits and pieces. They are a good team though, solid on both sides of the ball. All the players can score, they play really well in their system, good defense. If they shoot the ball well they can play with anyone. I was honestly a little surprised K-State was favored in this one. They earned their way to the elite 8 for sure but they only scored 50 on UMBC and really didn't look stellar against UK; neither of those teams looked great in that game, but they played better than UK and deserved to win. Anyways, really happy to see Loyola-Chi into the final 4, always fun to watch when one of these mid-majors goes on a run.
