Also let's not trivialize the crimes Bin Laden gas committed by comparing him to a tv show host.

Comparing the 2 is bad form IMO

That's also a part of my point. I hate it when pundits, message board posters, and bloggers trivialize (or worse, politicize) things like 9/11, the Holocaust, etc. Calling it bad taste is the tip of the iceberg.

Again, it's rather sad because it's par for the course these days in what passes for political discourse. And this goes for people from all over the spectrum, not just conservatives.
Man, you are so right about this. That's why I literally cringe when the shite from that cesspool poliboard seeps onto other boards here. I clicked this thread knowing that I would find people who can't separate their politics from every other facet of life bitching about KO and citing his inability to separate politics from every other facet of life as their reason for hating him.

Now then, back to the thread topic: This concept of the overcrowded show is just out of control. I'm just waiting to see who the first is to put a SIXTH chair on one of these shows. 3 + a host was perfect.

As for KO, I miss him as a baseball guy back in the day. He was good as a baseball guy and maybe still would be--we have no way of knowing. He's quite terrible as a football analyst b/c he doesn't seem like a football fan or somebody that knows much about football. And yes, he seems way more smug and off-putting than I remember from his old-school baseball days so good riddance.

Ok, to clarify. First, politics where brought up before I even posted. My point was that I cant ignore his politics when watching him do sports. I used an extreme example, an exaggeration, and obviously in poor taste by mentioning Bin Laden. The only point was that I couldnt separate the politics and sports with Olberman.

For you to say that it wasnt a joke or exaggeration is just your way. You love to pile on. Do you really think that I think of Bin Laden and Olberman as EXACT equals? Get real.

In order for one to consider your Olbermann/Bin Laden statement to be an "exaggeration", one must first consider the two to at least be remotely similar. So please, explain to all of us how Bin Laden is an exaggerated version of Olbermann.

Sure. We get that. You're a simple-minded person.

Clearly, you felt that it was appropriate to compare the two. Sure, in your little circle of friends, such things may be permissible. However, it's about time that those of us who are sick of all the bullshite stand up and say that enough is enough.

I don't love to pile on. Once you admit that you're at fault, then I'll back off. Until then...

Bomber, in all fairness, we live in a culture where large subsets of our population have on many occasions, compared the current and immediate past AMERICAN PRESIDENTS to Adolph Hitler, and they still continue to do so.

You've gotta admit, taking an individual's statement here comparing a TV personality to Bin Laden as serious is not that far of a stretch.

Didnt I explain it well enough for you to understand and say it was in bad taste?

Yep. And the fact that he retracted it ONLY after first defending it is quite telling.

You just can't get something through your thick skull. Ive explained it numerous times to you and either youre too dumb (I dont believe this to be the case) or you are just internet tough and looking for a posting fight.

I never retracted anything, just explained it and said that the name Bin Laden was used in bad taste. IT WAS JUST AN EXAGGERATED EXAMPLE USED TO MAKE A POINT!! THE POINT WAS THAT I CANT STAND OLBERMAN AND I DONT WATCH HIM DO FOOTBALL BECAUSE OF IT!! GET IT?

You start with your name calling and try to act superior. The strange thing is that I can normally relate to your posts and discussions. Somebody must have lied to you this morning however and told you that you were in charge of me!

Olbermann doesn't even talk politics on Football Night, so why is it an issue?

Wait. What? I'm not the boss of you?

BTW, need to apologize for taking out my frustrations regarding what currently passes for political discourse out on you.

Yes, your post triggered it, but I should not have made a personal attack at you.
