This game reminds me of game 3 for the Warriors vs the Pelicans.

In that game, the Pelicans players went balls to the wall and were hitting shots out of their mind and the Warriors were having a off night.

The Rockets will not have 3 now games like this.
First of all, the Rockets are much more capable of playing like this than the Pelicans are. The Rockets shot 38% from 3 so it's not like they were shooting an abnormally high percentage like how the Pelicans shot nearly 46% from 3 when they beat the Warriors in game 3.

One play there early 4th before they fell behind by 19 where Curry lost the ball on the Offensive end and you could tell he was laboring. Houston gets it down quick and Tucker spots up in the corner and you see Curry late coming in giving a half arse effort. That isn't his style.

They can't afford them freak-ups if Houston is playing this non-selfish amped up style of ball hitting all their 3-balls.

I didn’t watch tonight. How did the Rockets win so big?

Ball movement; attacking the basket early and often. Ariza showed up and was assertive offensively both driving to the rim and looking for his shot.

Excellent rotations on defensive end from Capella and Ariza early also and getting into passing lanes quickly on the dribble drive.

Totally shut down Thompson and looked to disrupt Green and his fake arse acting like he is going to shoot to bait you to the rim to the pass to the open shooter. Saw him throw multiple passes away while trying to do that.

Well coached and performed like a group of professional athletes should at this stage of development.

PJ Tucker was wide open for a lot of looks and set up at the corner all night while also being available for the easy deuce off the dribble.

Very impressive. More impressive then Pelicans decisive victory in Game 3 of the Western Semi's.

Rockets have no answer for KD. That is still a huge problem.

I doubt Curry and Thompson will play like this in Oracle.

Absolutely no doubt about it.

Boston is about the only team that offers enough length and athleticism to defend Durant with any meaningful amount of efficiency.

Houston can only hope to duplicate this effort and strategy once more and hope Golden State has no counter punch to throw. You know Kerr and his staff will come up with something amazing before Sunday rolls around.

Whoever thinks College Basketball is better than this, or even the NCAA March Madness is delusional.

If Steph is this hurt I think Boston can beat them.

If Cle can get past Boston(they won't) they'll beat CC.

These playoffs are getting interesting.

Ain’t a team in the nba who can force Houston to a game 6 besides warriors. That has been evident since Christmas.

You really think Cleveland could beat Houston in a 7 game series without hone-court?

I am not mocking you, but seeking more info on why in a discussion. I just don't see how Cleveland brings enough defensive talent on the wings to stop the onslaught from outside plus dribble penetration.

I actually could see Thompson starting and limiting Capella ineffective as they are similar players. Love would be a lost cause. JR is lost in space on Netflix right now. George Hill on CP3? YIKES.

Need more.

Boston isn't beating Golden State because they couldn't steal a game in Oracle. Boston is putrid on the road. If not for Philly vomiting Game 3 it would have been a longer series.

no. Both jazz and wolves were superior to pelicans. And neither of them could. Neither of them even really threatened to win a second game.

I agree both Timberwolves and Jazz were superior to Pelicans.

But Rubio was hurt against Houston and that team was not as superior without his experience and leading them.

And I'd bet neither Utah nor Minnesota would have swept Portland.

Pelicans wouldn't win a series without healthy boogie, but they could very well push it to 6 considering they played Houston hard all season.

NO ONE BESIDES GSW COILD FORCE A GAME 6. No Ifs, excuses, almosts, etc etc. Two teams are all time great teams this year. The rest are just many many tiers below CC and GSW.

There is no answer when he's hitting well contested jump shots. He was defended well, he just wouldn't miss. There is nothing you can do about that.

Just gotta keep defending him tough and hope he cools down a bit.

Boom you get trashed on a lot, but some of what you say is true.

Houston would not go 6 games against any team I have seen including Boston. Mainly because when CP3 and Harden look to distribute first and their role players are really dialed in offensively (which is their damn job) they can beat you fricking senseless like Negan with a bat.
