Imagine winning one game of three against your cross town rivals then using that to declare dominance.

This is one of the few instances where it can be allowed.

Imagine ignoring that they also lost to fricking Brooklyn a couple days later

Harden # 2 in PER
#1 in win share

I know you not a big picture guy, but do yourself a favor and try it out.

WBB, according to you big picture is looking beyond just the stats and understanding context. Or did you forget that already?

What are harden’s PER and win share numbers for the second half of the season? What about just the second half prior to him allowing his good friend Kobe to get on that helicopter?

doesn’t matter. Slumps happen. For the whole season, he is still due to lead the league in win share for the 4x season in a row. That is the big picture Bubba.

Other players who have lead the league in win share 4x in a row, as a frame of reference for what harden is doing.

Prime lebron 5 straight
Prime Jordan 7 straight
Prime wilt 5 straight
Neal Johnston 5 straight

That is who is hardens peer when it comes to this game we call hoop.

No one is running around here claiming that the Pels are fake champs of a shortened season

all those guys won an nba championship.
johnston one phila in era of cousy russell. paul arizen the outside threat.
wilt. had fabulous phila team with chet walker and billy cunningham.
also one with west.

jordan and lebron people know.

do you agree that harden did not have the energy by the time gsw rolled into town?
i concede cp3 out made all the difference.

when johnston won it there were only 3 rounds total.
the extra round really matters.

Ultimately those guys were just better. Golden state had more talent, best roster ever. No shame in losing to them. the only shame would have been if harden and made a super team and still lost to them. That would be actually Embarrasing.
