Luckily we have a stat called VORP that does that for us, and harden is ahead...And it's not even his best season. This IS Leonards best season.
What about WS/48...or do you gotta know when to use each one and WS/48 shouldn't be used for these 2?

Most teams use metrics similar to VORP..not saying it's exactly the same..but similar.

CC is a team who all season have been pacing themselves for once they get into the playoffs.

They paced themselves into a matchup with an all time great squad? That's a bold strategy.

I understand Harden puts up really good numbers but a lot of that is due to volume
Volume implies that a player shoots a low percentage but simply takes a bunch of shots to score points.

That's not Harden at all.

He's one of the most efficient players in the league.

He has the 4th highest TS% of any guard or guard/forward in the league. The only players in front of him are Curry, Reddick, and Jared Dudley.

getting it out of the way early, they wanted the WCF rematch when they were at the healthiest and when GSW was the most vulnerable.

If theylose, they were gonna lose regardless of how far they got.

If they win though, the rest of the way is an easy road. The spurs who got trounced last year? OKC who has the 2nd best player on the floor? LAC got owned last year.

Volume implies exactly what he means. He shoots a lot and plays a lot of minutes. He isn't a shite player or anything and I didn't say he was. He is a GOOD player and quite frankly carries the Rockets at times.

But when you say:

You are basically saying he puts up big stats but it's because he takes a lot of shots. Well, anyone who puts up big stats will take a lot of shots. But that is so obvious that it doesn't need to be said since all players with big stats take a lot of shots. So what I assumed you were implying was that to reach those big numbers he has to take more shots than other players who also put up big numbers.

And that just isn't true. He takes less shots than just about every guard in the league per point scored. He's an extremely efficient scorer.

Bruh you are arguing with yourself. Haven't disagreed with you at all, perhaps I misspoke when I said "a lot of that is due to volume" but you know what I meant. I don't think anyone has ever been very critical of Hardens offensive game, other than his turnovers and choking.

That's not because he makes most his shots or takes good shots. It's baca use he gets so many of his points from the foul line. And a lot of those Fouls aren't called in the playoffs.

This is true but I think I saw somewhere he took less FT this year.

Favors Kawhi by a good margin.

Would you at least agree there is a solid argument for Kawhi over Harden?

Oh you again. Hadn't heard that BS narrative in a while. Hardens FT rate is higher in the postseason than it is in the regular season AND he shoots more FTs per game in the playoffs since he's been in HOU.

Because refs started to wise up to a lot of the ways that he used to get fouls.
