Marc Gasol.
Watched him get limited playing time for freaking Lausanne when they came down to play our tiny private school.
At that time I would have never guessed that 10 years later he would possibly be one of, if not the best, centers in the NBA.

Once upon a time, ESPN called Memphis' acquisition of Marc the "worst trade of all time." I don't think anyone knew just how dominate he would be, Wallace included, but I still find it funny.

the morris twins are better than i thought. not sure why since they were both lottery picks, but the fact that they are legitimate assets and still improving is surprising to me.

Turned out to be one of the fairer deals in recent memory.

Blake Griffin. Even though he was great in college, I questioned whether he would be tough enough at the next level. Then, he got injured, and I thought he was for sure done. It's crazy how that's completely an afterthought now.
But, hey, good for him.

They were so good in college, just didn't know how they would transition being 3/4 tweeners. They have definitely gotten the best out of their abilities.
Thomas Robinson as been a disappointment. Not sure if he has staying power in the league. Hard to cut it as a 6'8 PF unless you're a freak athlete or can shoot the shite out of the ball

As a Bulls fan, I'm surprised how good Jimmy Butler has been. I didn't think he'd be bad, but I didn't think he'd be this good.

yeah i mean his ceiling now is an energy guy off the bench to snatch up some rebounds and some fouls. that's pretty disappointing, but he might be able to make it work.
