Them acting like we have to pay them for lebron is kinda insane

The only way the spurs could incentivize the Lakers to make a fair deal is if lebron outright told them they need Kawhi.

quote:Quoted above, you said each statement in regards to the same exact conversation.
I did say those two statements that are being completely taken out of context. I agree
Just concede that the ask by SAS is not insane because as it stands right now, today...it isn't.

And that was a completley hypothetical response to a post about kawhis trade value and why they should be expected to pay more then anyone else

and why they should be expected to pay more then anyone

The Spurs are going to believe that’s the scenario until something concrete comes out saying it’s not...
So why is it insane for them to be asking for that at this current moment??
If Lebron comes out and signs somewhere, then yeah then there ask of a return for Lebron is insane.

I agree that they should have operated under that when the trade talks started. The Lakers clearly haven't been incentivized to make this deal happen. Hell, shelburne has been saying that they haven't even offered Ingram. Almost like they have heard from lebron that he is coming. So when windhorst says late last night that the spurs are still asking for a return on lebron, when the Lakers have probably been told by lebrons people that he is coming, it seems insane to me

Or the Lakers are acting like they aren’t desperate to get the Spurs to bring the price down.
It could just be a big game of chicken. Or it could be Lebron is in LA right now.

What is their incentive to ask for less right now?

After several conversations over past few hours, #Cavs still in mix for LeBron but the momentum clearly rolling West

I dont think the Lakers would he fricking around with this. If lebron made that stipulation, they would be getting it done
Also, if a trade happens tonight that includes Ingram, it means that they were right. Add it to the list of things I will be the first admit

Nice clickbait article, Dave.

Paul, who represents several other players entering into free agency -- Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Nerlens Noel among them -- will conduct all his business over the phone when free agency begins, sources told ESPN.
