What are you proposing the trade should be if they don’t include Ingram? What if Ingram is the only asset that the Lakers have that the Spurs want? Then they’d basically be giving Leonard away for “nothing” any way.

They are looking out for themselves and trying to get the best deal possible. Not sure why it’s insane.

If lebron has joined, I would go no higher than kuzma and a lottery protected first. The spurs are more than fine to reject that and lose him, its just what I'd offer

Right, it’s all posturing. You don’t go into a negotiation with your lowest deal you’d accept. You ask for the world, and see what you can get.

So, if LeBron and George go this summer are you okay with missing out on Kawhi next summer due to cap issues?

ETA: the Spurs would kinda tell the Lakers to GFTO if that’s the offer they presented

Because they dont have lebron. We shouldn't pay them for something that they dont have. I can sit here and talk about how I would love to get Kawhi straight up for deng, but what's the point of that

I want all the trades to be awful for Leonard to force the spurs to keep him and watch him take another year off. That would be tremendous

I would like Kawhi. I would like to make all three happen. But if we get lebron and George than I wouldn't be interested in overpaying for Kawhi even if it meant we'd lose him next summer

and wed do the same when they demand Ingram and a first

I really don’t think so.

I think I’d rather LeBron, Kawhi, Kuzma, than LeBron, George, Ingram.

Kawhi is a legit superstar (if healthy).

We will see. I like Ingram but don’t think he’s a player worth drawing the line over for someone like Kawhi. Lebron and George plus the current Laker team and a couple ring chasers isn’t winning dick next year unless a lot of injuries happen

or not at all

I have been here the last few days talking about Ingram being in a deal. This was when it looked like lebron needed a push. Now that all of the rumor is that lebron is coming regardless, I think it's weird that the Lakers are expected to negotiate against themselves

Ingram and a #1 is a great offer for your guy who wouldn't even dress out for you.

Ingram has additional upside.
Irl, reports say Lakers not offering Ingram.

You’re negotiating with the Spurs, for an asset that they have. You’re not negotiating against yourself for a free agent. I’m sure the Spurs would just wait it out til the trade deadline (or until next offseason) if that’s all the Lakers offered. Especially if George goes there too.

Probably. But not by a crazy amount. And I think Ingram has a higher ceiling

And I think the Lakers would be more than fine with calling this a summer with lebron and George. I doubt the spurs will trade Kawhi to the Lakers regardless if they get lebron and george

I’d say he does now because of his ball handling, but if Jaylen gets some handles this summer I’d say his would be higher

I was referring to, in general how Boston fans over value their assets and never want to include them “fairly” in trades.

I.e. I’ve seen some people say that they wouldn’t include Tatum in a trade for AD (not like that shite is ever going to happen anyway).

Ingram for Leonard is a deal breaker to Lakers fan. Unbelievable.

I mean is this your first time in this thread? Did you not see all of the Laker posters talking about being fine with Ingram in a trade a day or two ago?
