of the 540 players on the bball ref website, only one had a worse WS than Smith. 539 out of 540. heck only 50ish of the 540 players had a minus win share. he's right there with the Qpons, Solomon Hills, London Perrantes, Josh Grays etx of the NBA.

I think fans around here would still boo Josh Hamilton for his "baseball town" comment from back then

Boy that's the truth

Anyone on the west coast know how good of a writer Kerry Eggers is? Just saw this pop up on my Amazon and for obvious reasons piqued my interest

The Houston Rockets are reportedly "all in" on pursuing LeBron James in free agency this offseason.

According to Sam Amick of USA Today, the Rockets have heavy interest in James despite a comment made by guard James Harden at the NBA Awards on Monday.

Clips are definitely in play. LAL has to be the favorite but Lebron can be convinced.

According to D-Wade Chicago was in the lead in 2010 before Miami made a pitch that they could get 3 guys instead of 2. I wouldn't bet against Jerry West's ability to sell Lebron on a plan.

Jerry west built two dynasties in the league.

If theres one man who could build another it's that guy. I'd go there if he could get another star to pair with Lebron. Add a 3rd next year.

Eta: technically Miami was a dynasty I think. So I'll just say 2 instead of recent.

CC is a class organization they aren't gonna come out publically and slight an all time great and say that they don't want Lebron. However James comments last night speaks Volumes, and Lebron has been alerted via the back channels that Houston is not the place for him. We know for fact that Harden has made 0 attempts to speak with Lebron, and Chris supposedly isn't recruiting him either.

Even if the Clippers move DAJ with $0 coming back, they would still have to clear roughly $20 million more in space to be able to offer Lebron the max.

I get what you are saying about the Heat in 2010 but they were in a unique spot with tons of flexibility and had Wade’s bird rights. Now, if LAC could also move some of those bad contracts like Gallinari and Rivers, they might be able to put something together imo

Dude is a clown.

He's 28. He is what he is, not an ounce of clutch in that guy.

So CC chooses to come put publicly and say the opposite of what their star player says so they can not slight a player they don't want.

Boom logic...

Imagine being that good but kept at bay THAT much by the organization while they put all their trust in Chris Paul and keep Harden totally in the dark on what they're doing for fear of him screwing it all up.

Not a good look.
