You gotta have “it” on both side of the ball. Offense and defense. CC did. Apparently those others squads didn’t. But my memory is fuzzy. I don’t remember the saints ever having an all time kinda team.

Now that I think about it. Saints lost to SF. Who didn’t even win the super bowl.

CC lost to GOAT. In 7. Without their robin. No other team could even force them to a game 6. heck I don’t think any team will force them to a game 6 this year besides GOAT tbt.

Had better offensive numbers than "the greatest show on turf" that year.

Had a pretty good defense that year too. Except they collapsed when it counted. Just like the defense of Houston in the playoffs.

Four year, $120 mil extension. That's a lot for a guy injured every season

Lol. I just looked and their pick is top 10 protected next season. Why in the world they are not trying to dump Love is beyond me

Which is why I thought/was kind of hoping the Mavs would take him and give back the expiring Wesley Matthews contract and one of our younger bigs

If Love is still not good enough to lead a team to the playoffs out of the East...

I'd just move him for whatever I could get at this point TBH. I'd have moved TJ an expiring deal and picks for him.

By doing it this way, Love took about 8 percent less than the maximum extension he could have received, two sources said, giving the Cavs a chance to sign more players as they begin to create cap space in future years.
There is no player option or no-trade clause in this contract.
