Guys on Mickstape where throwing around the idea of a Otto Porter for Boogie sign and trade with the Pels. Trilly and Coley both liked it. I think it would be great for both teams. I’d love to see Wall and Boogie back together just as a baseketball fan.

This better be the Christmas game

It absolutely will. God I hope it’s in Boston.

Congrats on the victory Lakers fans

Porter is a good player and all, but I would hope we get a pick as well if we were giving up the best low post center in the game right now...

That would be one rowdy atmosphere. The venom that crowd would bring with their most hated player on their most hated team.
It’s been way too long since I’ve heard a booming BEAT LA chant

Nobody's paying that price for Boogie coming off the Achilles tear. Porter would fit well and if Boogie does have the problems some do coming off an Achilles tear, it would be a steal.

I'd think more people care about Lebron vs the Warriors

I think the most id do as Wash would be a lotto protected 2019 1st that otherwise turns into a 2nd. Boogie is a big risk coming off a significant injury

Porter is that piece y’all have been missing for a number of years. An athletic wing who can shoot and defend, and can also play the 4 in a pinch. If there’s an opportunity to grab him, don’t Pass it up

Only issue with Porter is his contract is massive
15% trade kicker to go along with $26, $27, $28 million

Yeah but you don’t think that would be he money Boogie would make? A lucrative deal, but not quite the max?

I really hope the Lakers take this route. Trade away nothing and go into next year with a full max slot available with a much better free agency class
He'll be 34 when the season starts and not many years left at this level so it would seem to be a waste of a season experimenting with / mentoring young guys. But if Lebrons okay with it for 1 season and the relief from win now urgency he's been under for over a decade then I guess it's okay.
He may actually relax & have some fun with the young guys for a season and if they happen to exceed expectations that would be great.

Now you know what it was like being a Kobe fan from 2004-2008 and 2011-retirement (minus “basketball reasons”)

Boogie probably gets that this year, with a TO next season... you arent committed to a 4 year deal like you would be with Porter in case things dont work out and AD splits
I wont be upset if it happens, just theres some risk there

How does the ‘19 FA class look?

If LeBron buys in, this could be a great developmental opportunity for the Lakers youth. Guys like Ingram, Ball, Randle and Kuzma would benefit from getting major minutes in games that count.
Just adding LeBron means playoffs, it's a question of how far they go. If they could get a lot of developmental time for the kids and then add Kawhi as a FA, that would load up for the big run next year.
