Harden has the edge in the advanced stats
And team success as it stands today. The vote reflects that.

It’s a good thing no one is getting MVP 25 games into the season. If LeBron keeps doing what he has been (clutch 4th qtrs) look for him to be the favorite. Also this winning streak will bolster his chances.

yea I would not be surprised if that narrative wins out. Russ won MVP for beating teams like Orlando and nuggets and Indiana late in the year. Teams that harden was beating by 15. it’s like the voters forgot that James didn’t need crunch time to win because the game was already over. Kinda like tonight for Lebron. If you need to have a big fourth qtr to beat the lowly kings there’s prob somebody out there more deserving than you.

FYI Houston hasn’t played a single digit game since Paul has come back and have had a twenty point lead in every game.

Pels go down 10 early and come back for a big win without AD.

Cousins with his second 40 and 20 game this year. Still over .500 dammit haha

It would not surprise me at all if they end up with a Top 5 net rating. You got James doing his thing v the starters and while he rests you have a hall of Famer in Chris having his way with other teams backups. Oh and a top 5 defense to go with the all time great offense.

And if it needs to be said again a big LOL to those that thought that it would be James having to adjust his game and give up Ball handling duties. For as great as Chris is James is obviously just the much much better player at this point in their careers.

Solid win. That will keep okc away for now, but neither playoff spots nor mvp awards are won in the dog days of December

Lebron James is the best basketball player ever.

If you disagree, you're wrong.

Harden has it.

At this point in the season, Lebron is waaaay out.

It's Harden's to win.

Also, Lebron is the best basketball player OF ALL TIME.

Lol the Warriors lost to the Kings like last week or some shite, clown. Harden isn’t beating any team by 15. The Rockets are. Cavs are on a 13 game winning streak, any team could snap it. There is no argument that LeBron is a more valuable player than Harden. You need to do mental gymnastics to convince yourself otherwise

73 out of 105 media members who cover nba for a living agree, James is more valuable. You may need to take a second look at James i don’t think you’ve seen much of him lately tbh.

Honestly this is going to be so fricking tiring by March. Last year was ridiculous with Harden vs. Westbrook. It’s already old now and we’re are in the 2nd full month of the season. Why on earth are we having a discussion about it in every single NBA Thread so early in the season?

Let’s just all agree to wait until after the All-Star break to begin the shitpost

Amazing.

Any chance Chris gets 6th man of the year?

No. Chris starts and then comes off the court quickly. And then he comes in when James is off.

There is more to talk about with Houston on nights they don’t play than on nights when they do play. The games are snoozers. Nobody can even give them a competitive game. They probably haven’t had a situation that the league would define As “clutch situation” in 5 weeks.

Here’s to hoping the jazz can give a good match tonight.
