The Spurs and Thunder would've been pretty heavy favorites if either got Gasol and he isn't near elite.

Of course it is. But trust me, it's still a helluva lot of fun going to playoff games in the 2nd round, Conference Finals, and Finals every year. Tons of fun.
Hell, I usually give up my tickets to the first round these days.
