has he struck out as of right now? yes, but why does that matter? the offseason isn't over. what matters is how good is the team when the playoffs start. what is hard to understand about that? why does it matter so much to you how the team looks right this minute?
And as it looks right now, you guys are a bit worse than last year. This offseason flat out went in the worst direction for you guys possible.
Superstars, struck out.
Bench depth, depleted.
Promising player, replaced with a wild card.

Yeah? And Melo is a top 2 scorer in the NBA and missed the playoffs in the worst Eastern Conference imaginable.
Well they've played one season together I can go on and on and on listing teams and how they did in the first year after two marquee players joined forces.

Who gives a shite if they don't do a damn thing in the playoffs.
The same could be said for your OKC, who gives a shite if they've played in the WCF they don't do a damn thing in the WCF or the finals when they reach them.

I agree with all that...but, to counter, 2nd year w/Dwight and Harden Combo, better defense on the perimeter, 2nd youngest team in the league with a year of experience under their belts.
The sky is not falling, as bad as the MSB wants it to be true.

They didn't get out of the first round this year and got worse in the off-season and you want to talk about playoffs?
is the offseason over? is the roster set? Jesus mary and joseph the team today isn't guaranteed to be the team they're going to be playing with next season.

Why do you keep circle jerking the gm when his amazing off season moves have netted exactly how many playoff series wins?
He's done a great job there's a reason why he's regarded as one of he top GMs in the league.

C'mon, I have a lot of family in Houston and none of them are even remotely thinking a franchise altering move is going to happen this year.
I think Boom is just a bit too homerish.

They have the best players at their respective positions at the 2 weakest positions in the league. Unless the 3rd guy they add is an absolute stud(Lebron, KD) it's far from a sure thing they'd win a championship

Sure it looks like that right now, there's nobody arguing against that. Is the winner of a baseball game the team that's leading after the 6th inning? I think you know the answer Hoang

Better defense (agreed), worse offensely (we all know Ariza is a weird offensive question mark), lost depth, and now roll out with a bunch of bench ??s.
There is better team chemistry, but Year 1 "Big 3" Miami had team chemistry by the time the all-star game rolled around.
It isn't like the pelicans where they had like what 10 games all healthy?

If the rockets match last year's record I will let you suck boom's dick.
Write it down.

So off on the name you racist count

So your position is:
Last two off-seasons were great (forget the first round exits)
But
We can't judge this off-season because we have to wait to see how they do the playoffs.
I feel like you belong on tidefans

You better pray their 3pt shooting falls off, Diaw becomes a shell, you guys stay healthy, and/or someone knocks them out.
They can wipe a team on any given night the way they were playing after the Dallas series. Rather unfair to be honest.
The Thunder can beat the Spurs. Not saying it would have happened, but the Conf. Finals would have looked very different if Ibaka was healthy.
If we're full strength, the Thunder have played the Spurs as well as any other team.

ok what team would be a sure thing to win the championship if they added anyone besides lebron or kd? the answer is 0.

I think on any given night, any west playoff team can shock OKC/SAS.
OKC and SAS are by far the 'leaders' of the west, but we know playoffs are a different animal. I think it would have went to 7 to be honest. Either way, I hope you guys get knocked out by the pelicans this year (and I hope we make it 1st)

One might and probably would say:
Consistently reaching late playoff rounds > consistently losing in the first round
But in Boom's world of delusion???
