Their chances of being a legitimate contender lies on how healthy Dwayne Wade is going to be. And for the past few seasons, well... we all already know. So for that reason, I don't feel they can compete with the likes of Chicago, Indiana, Cavs, and even the Wizards.

LeBron hasn't won much without 2 HOFers at his side. Nobody is factoring in all the extra touches Wade and Bosh will inherit with LeBron's departure.
LeBron brought an absolute shite team in Cleveland to the finals

Don't the cavs still have the MLE available?

Looking at their Miller offer, I'd say yes the Cavs have the MLE
Posted on 7/13/14 at 3:17 pm to Dr. Shultz
I think so. They probably don't want to use the whole thing on him. Grizz had the same problem in trying to re-sign him.

Looks like Miller will have to decide if contending for a title w/ Lebron is worth more to him than a third year.

That's worth like 5 mill a year huh? I wonder who they want to bust that nut on
Posted on 7/13/14 at 3:20 pm to Dr. Shultz
They are probably going to use their BAE on Ray Allen.

Charlotte had been pursuing free agent Kirk Hinrich, but belief is that he's destined to sign with Bulls

If he doesn't retire. I think he's still got a couple years in him honestly. He's in good shape.
Posted on 7/13/14 at 3:27 pm to Dr. Shultz
They need guys like him and Miller for reasons beyond their shooting ability. That roster has a whole lot of guys that have never experienced what the playoffs are like.

Mavericks will get Jefferson on a one-year minimum deal. Bargain signing after Jefferson completed his last contract in Utah

Yep. In a year when there were only 5 teams in the Eastern Conference over .500. Then they were promptly swept by San Antonio. I didn't say he hadn't won shite.....but the 2006-07 Cavs happened to be the best of a bad lot.
Posted on 7/13/14 at 3:41 pm to Dr. Shultz
Cavs have the MLE and i think like $3 million left in cap space
Posted on 7/13/14 at 3:49 pm to RTR America
Are they keeping Marion?

It's amazing Mike miller is getting paid so much on the open market when it was just a couple years ago he looked like he could barely walk up the court for the heat
