Likely Detroit right?

Seems that way. Sacramento has a hard on for Josh Smith for some odd reason.

Everyone thinks they can fix him. If you just rein him in, help him understand his role and stop being a ball hog chucker, he could easily be one of the most valuable players in the league.
It'll never happen though.

How else is Sacramento going to upgrade the 4?...he can give them a couple good years next to Cousins, especially on the defensive end.

Gay Love Sessions used to be my fantasy bball team name.

Since things are seemingly dead right now here is some contract related stuff to check out if you are into that sort of thing:
Explaining the Max Contract
What exactly is a trade exception?
The Stretch Provision: Free Agency's Safety Net

I agree with this to some extent, but I think Josh is getting a worse rep than what he deserves from his yr with the Pistons. everybody but Joe Dumars knows that he's a 4. (hell Josh prob knows it, but he wasn't turning down that money) yet Joe D signed him to play the 3, next to 2 bigs who need to operate at or near the rim to be successful. then you go and get Jennings, a streaky chucker in his own right. that team was a disaster waiting to happen.
at 10 yrs in, you're not gonna "fix" Josh. but the Kings managed to have Gay maintain his ppg on 3 less shots after the trade, so maybe they can improve Josh's efficiency. putting him back at the 4 alone ought to help out.

Well said and you are absolutely right. As a Pistons fan, I have every reason to dislike Josh Smith...but, it wouldn't bother me if they had to move on from Monroe and they slid Josh to the 4.

I've lived here a while and have been watching and going to Hawks games particularly since they blew up the team about 10 yrs ago and started building the Josh/ Joe Johnson crew. Josh can go on stretches where it seems like he's everywhere and doing everything. he should've been an All Star a couple years ago when Horford missed most of the yr. he's a good dude that plays hard and is durable, even if he whines to refs and makes that pouty face too much.
all that said, you can drive yourself nuts wondering when the light is gonna come on and stay on. the 3s, the long 2s, leading fast breaks when he should be finishing. I want him to succeed, but was happy to see him go.

I don't think it's even fixing him, it's just getting him to stay away from the three-point line. You keep him inside there, you're going to be fine.
The Pistons putting him at the 3 was just a recipe for disaster

Josh Smith and Rudy Gay are the exact opposite of complimentary players, which makes the premise of them playing together hilarious.

In 5 years, Bosh will be a homeless man's Sam Perkins.
In 4 years, Wade will be playing 30 games per year.
No thanks to both.

Wade is basically doing that already

Numbers don't look too surprising so far.

Don't worry...they are going to put Wade on a strict 25 game regular season "maintenance plan" which should allow him to give a solid 25 minutes/game in the 1st round of the playoffs.
