Looks like the common theme is these young players getting these insane contracts.

If you think of it as trading Lou for Thabo it's not that bad. He fits better on the team. Coach bud is trying to go away from isolation offense which is what Lou is good at

I'm surprised Thabo never developed even a decent offensive game. Lou has his place on any team... teams covet those 6 man scoring type off the bench. Don't see how this makes Atlanta any better.

There is no fit.

Thabo is a decent perimeter defender and three point shooter. That's it. He doesn't cut well, can't create off the dribble. He has basically zero offense unless there is a dynamic star scorer (Westbrook) to set him up.

Being the 9th man on an already very good team is the only "fit" for him IMO.

When OKC acquired Thabo on Feb. 19, 2009, they were 13-41. They went 281-109 after. Not the most important, but a big part of the turnaround

Name of one target Miami is trying to secure for LeBron has emerged: Sources say Heat making push for perimeter specialist Anthony Morrow

Word is both Heat and OKC Thunder are chasing Morrow. As was Orlando, I'm told, until Magic secured their deal with Ben Gordon as well

Message here is Heat are chasing realistic targets to fit in around LeBron, Wade and Bosh. Never had a real shot at the Lowrys and Gortats

gives another wing defender, provided he's healthy. but that's about all I'm seeing at this point. if the roster remains the same, I don't even think Thabo will start.

I wouldn't have given him much more than what Demarre Carroll got last yr (2 yrs, about $3 mil per). hopefully the last yr is partially guaranteed, like John Salmons deal.

Do I really have to tell you about causation and correlation?

On Feb 19, 2009, I visited Oklahoma City and peed on a sidewalk. Maybe that was it.

Honestly he's not even that great of defender anymore. He's probably league average or slightly better. I agree on the Carroll price tag but I guess it pays being a vet on a winning team with a presumed defensive reputation.

Co-signed,
Kendrick Perkins

Exactly. Classic case of overpaying an average role player from a good team

Nah Kendrick gets his job done.

He is just an offensive liability. If I need a nasty defensive minded center, he would still be at the top of my list.

That Sefolosha contract is fair value for a veteran specialist.

So you are saying he's worth 40 million dollars?

Kendrick Perkins is bad.
