But they aren't building off of a good run that just fell short. They have to come back from a post ASG collapse and deal with their locker room issues. Things they've yet to do.

Source says that Pau Gasol deal to the Bulls "should get done today." Don't know impact on CHI pursuit of Melo.

Not quite as bad as the Outlaw contract but still
Who am I kidding? This is bad.

So typical with these irrelevant franchises. Just give these guys these insane contracts. Whatever it takes to keep them around.

I'm laughing, but teams aren't completely stupid. There's a method behind the madness.
The problem is the salary floor. Teams have to spend 90% of their cap room, a concession (one of only a few) they made to players in the latest CBA.
Players like Lebron, who are actually worth much more than the max, are capped out. If your team doesn't have a Lebron, your good players like Hayward make out like bandits because this free agent market really isn't very good and that money HAS to be spent.

Reason 99 to like Vince Carter deal: He was suspended for the first time in his career last year -- for elbowing Steven Adams in the head.
He will fit right in

I keep hoping that we can get to Sunday, Rockets miss Parsons deadline because they think they have a shot with Ariza, who winds up re-upping with the Wizards

Expect Houston to push a decision on matching the Chandler Parsons offer sheet w/ Dallas until deadline on late Sunday night.

Just a matter of hours until Carmelo Anthony informs the Knicks of his return on a five-year deal, as @FisolaNYDN reported this week.

As a head coach the lowest amount of games Phil Jackson ever won was 42.. who knows how he will impact the team in his new role but if they were to win at least that the Knicks would be around a 6-8 seed (assuming the records are similar to last years.) The Knicks could surprise some people. Of course, they probably won't be contenders but definitely could be a dangerous playoff team.
Good for Melo staying at home.

So much for hoping to land Pau and Melo somehow without gutting the team.
