If they do match, I wouldn't mind Dallas adding a duo of Ariza and Stephenson. Just keep Deng away
From what I have read (i'm admittedly ignorant on this situation), the Rockets can't realistically sign Bosh to a max deal and match the Parsons offer.
Like you said though, Ariza and Stephenson would be nice additions. Donnie Nelson said the last resort would be starting Crowder, though that may not be that bad.

They can, they have Parson's bird rights.

I think if Bosh signs for $1 mil less than the max, they would be fine, at least according to the Dallas boards.
I definitely don't want Crowder starting

From ESPN:
quote:
The Rockets have offered Bosh a max contract of $88 million over four years, but it’s impossible for Houston to sign him to that deal unless they let Parsons leave or pull off an extremely complicated sign-and-trade deal. That’s even if the Rockets get rid of every single player on the roster other than Dwight Howard and James Harden before the 11 p.m. CT deadline Sunday night to match the Mavs’ offer to Parsons.
Houston simply does not have the cap space to squeeze a max deal for Bosh along with the max deals for Howard and Harden with Parsons’ $2.9 million cap hold on the books.
Could the Rockets convince Bosh to sign for slightly less than the max? Sure, that’s possible, but Houston general manager Daryl Morey would still need to make several salary-dump deals to be in position to sign Bosh and keep Parsons.
And Rockets owner Leslie Alexander would have to agree to step into luxury-tax territory with four eight-figure salaries in the starting lineup and the rest of the roster to fill out.

Would not want him back if I were a Cleveland fan.

They can but it puts them locked in on 4 players taking up 70+ million dollars for the next 3 years.
They have no wiggle room at all. It puts Miamis financial situation to shame on how bad it is lol

Have to give Sheridan his props. ESPN must be pissed. They were totally shut out of this and look like clowns. As well written as this essay was, this decision has been made awhile. And Broussard on this morning talking about a letter from four years ago.

The man was right and you still can't give him credit. You are pathetic.

I said this right after the decision but time heals old wounds. To not want the best player in the world is just dumb.

If I'm Miami, I make a push for Greg Monroe.

Les Alexander already consented to going into the luxury tax. They will get both Bosh and Parsons.
