Not all the media buying in:
@ryenarussillo: The Gilbert letter becoming and issue now, is a joke. This sounds like an out, an attempt to not look like the bad guy.

How many people are up in arms? I don't see many people bashing Lebron at all.
I said it was starting to get out of hand - haven't said one critical thing about him this entire time, and you go into knight mode.

The Decision has been made, even though it hasn’t been made public by the man himself. LeBron James is returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers, a league source tells SheridanHoops.com.
quote:
James met with Miami Heat president Pat Riley on Wednesday in Las Vegas to deliver the news, and Riley did his best to try to get James to reconsider, comparing the stability of the Heat organization to the relative instability of the Cavs, who have a meddling owner and have changed general managers and coaches several times in the past few years, according to a source who spoke on condition of anonymity.
quote:
The meeting lasted about an hour, and James and his advisors then met for dinner. James’ stance did not change, according to the source, but no public pronouncements were made. An official announcement will eventually be made on www.lebronjames.com, as I first reported Tuesday. The news should become official before James leaves Saturday for the World Cup final in Brazil.

quote:It's not a question of whether it's his fault, I'm saying there is nothing to fault him for.
It's kind of funny that you are going out of your way to defend LeBron and make sure nothing seems like his fault
quote:He has more leverage right now than any person in sports, I havent' discounted that in the slightest, not sure what your angle is there. I don't see how that's relevant, that is mutually exclusive from the idea that he has talked with his family and hasn't made a decision yet.
you are completely emasculating him and discrediting him for the very clear power he has here. LeBron is in control of this situation, and that doesn't happen very often in the battle of Billionaires vs. Millionaires.

But the funny part is, we already have been told he was going to talk with his family then make a decision, so I'm not sure why some folks are still up in arms.
Yesterday he was trying to say that Bron basically had no intention of ever signing with the Cavs and the media has fueled the speculation to create a story.
I said if that was the case Bron's people would of ended it before we've reached this point. Now he just comes in here and thinks he's funny.

If you think his PR team hasn't turned this into a moronic circus, I don't know what to say. He should have named Miami the favorite from day 1. That way, if he decides to go to Cleveland, he can just say that, "in his heart", he felt it was the right thing to do. Instead, all logical signs point to Cleveland being the favorite right now, and, once again, Cleveland is on the precipice of potential false hope. This circus is his creation after "The Decision". It's a major story because the Decision was a major story. It doesn't help that other teams' FA is dependent on which choice he makes. There is no way this circus is a good thing for LBJ if he returns to Miami.

No doubt that Pat Riley is the root of the Letter controversy this time.

Riley better worry about Phil Jackson being back in the association and owning him like he always has.

No, people have suggested that he is starting to take too long. You acting like people are retarded for thinking that way is what's taken over this thread.

All I can say right now is, if DWade is being truthful that he has no idea where LBJ is going, it is laughable to think that Chris Sheridan knows it for a fact. I'm honestly starting to believe that Sheridan just threw this out there in hopes that it is true, to look like the smartest person in the room.
This ending has all of the makings of
LBJ picks Miami - 350 pages
LBJ picks Cleveland - 700-750 pages

Lebron is starting to catch some flack
@WhitlockJason: Dan Gilbert Letter 23 run through LeBron's mind? I ain't buying it. The Indecision 2014 is turning as sour as The Decision 2010.
