If this falls apart because of that letter its going to be bad for Lebron and for Gilbert.
Even if thats the reason he wont come back, why even put this out there? Just say it was for basketball reasons. Everyone would understand. Now he looks like he lead the city on and then got petty and let his ego take over.
For Gilbert, the only way to keep this cities trust is to figure out a way to make this happen. People are going to hate him forever if it looks like its his fault he isnt coming back.

That's why I said Bron's PR did him dirty again if this the excuse. Just say he likes the talent options better in Miami and move on. It's not like the letter just popped up.

dispel rampant rumors. lebron doesn't even need to be there. shite, doesn't even need to be a presser. just issue a statement that dispels any inaccuracies that have been out there.
